If you’re new to the term ‘spin classes’ we’ve got three words that summarises it for you: intensive stationary cycling. They’re also synonymous with thumping music, enthusiastic instructors, and high energy level in the studios.
Spin classes differ greatly from traditional cycling. It uses some of the largest muscles in the body, the gluteus maximum and quadriceps, and an hour of the spin class can burn up to 800 calories. Spinning is a seriously addictive workout, whether you’re looking to improve your overall fitness levels or just jump on the ‘party on the bike’ bandwagon, even if you’re clueless about how to ride a bike. We’ve taken a spin across the island to bring you 18 spin classes in Singapore to try this year – and these are not just classes, but an experience!
