We rounded up the latest fitness wearables to get you in shape for the upcoming holiday season

We’re inching closer to what is possibly our favourite period in the year (hello, Christmas and New Year’s Day PHs!) filled with joy, food… and more food. But as we all know, with great food comes great calories.

To keep yourself in shape, we’ve rounded up some of the latest wearable gears that you can use to keep your fitness levels in check. No matter the intensity or movement, these gears will support you and allow you to keep track as you crush those sprints, cardio, and Pilates.

Tis’ the season to take your fitness seriously.

G-Shock GM-5600 Collection

Boasting the same design as the iconic square-faced G-SHOCK line that’s so ubiquitous, the GM-5600 collection recently upped the game by introducing stainless steel on its bezel.

Still delivering the finely-crafted texture of metal, the new models offer the comfortable fit of a lightweight watch, thanks to the organic substance called resin, used for the case and band. The new timepieces also come with a light-on-dark LCD design that creates a consistently chic look.

The GM-5600 retails at SGD259, and the GM-5600B watches retail at SGD279 and are now available at all G-SHOCK Casio boutiques (except IMM outlet) and G-SHOCK online.

Garmin Venu

While Garmin has always been ahead of the curve to merging health and technology into its dynamic range of watches, the new Garmin Venu is its first smartwatch with a glorious AMOLED display.

With over 40 on-device animated workouts, including cardio and pilates, customising your workouts at home will now be a complete breeze – it even comes complete with a virtual personal trainer for added motivation!

It also boasts the broadest range of 24/7 health monitoring features available in the market including new stress tracking with relax reminders, menstrual cycle tracking, and other impressive features perfect for any smart-watch user.

The Garmin Venu retails at SGD589 and is available at all Garmin outlets and on Lazada.

Under Armour Valsetz Collection

Consisting of a complete head-to-toe assortment, this collection features the Under Armour Valsetz Trek shoes and coordinating performance apparel made with Polartec Micro fleece. The products incorporate materials and silhouettes optimised for the modern athlete to traverse both cityscapes and the backcountry with equal confidence.

The Trek Shoe consists of an all-terrain outsole built for speed and traction in any environment for serious runners, while the apparel is made of 100-percent post-consumer recycled content which is durable, breathable, hydrophobic and fast-drying – for you to conquer all challenges.

The Under Armour Valsetz Collection starts at USD45 (~SGD62) and is available at Under Armour stores and online.

The Instapump Fury BOOST shoes are all about that old-school vibe and retro-style appeal, while keeping it comfortable in every step with its revolutionary cushioning.

Xiaomi Mi Band 4

Fitness trackers don’t have to break the bank and the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 is the perfect example of that.

It’s well known that Xiaomi products are effective and don’t cost a ton of money and this product reflects that mantra with its whopping 20-day battery life, beautiful AMOLED colour display, impressive water resistance of up to 50 metres, and more.

One of our favourite parts of this device is the many customisation options this band offers such as the vibration pattern, schedule for auto screen wake up, do not disturb mode, and night mode, not offered in other fitness trackers.

For a device this small and this affordable, it sure packs quite a lot of smart features into the Xiaomi Mi Band 4.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 4 retails at SGD49.90 at Xiaomi outlets and Lazada.
