Whether you recognise her as a singer who has touched the hearts of many with her powerful vocals or as the feisty character she played in the popular K-drama, Hotel Del Luna, Lee Ji-Eun, who goes by her stage name, IU, is definitely not a new face on the scene.
First wowing audiences back in 2011 with her mind-blowing three consecutive high notes in the song “Good Day”, IU is now one of the megastars who wears multiple hats as a singer, songwriter, actress, producer, and philanthropist, and has even carved a name for herself as “Korea’s Little Sister”.
And this month, the multi-hyphenate star has joined the New Balance family as the brand’s global ambassador.
Making her first debut as New Balance’s new ambassador, IU is headlining the brand’s new campaign “WE GOT NOW” that is going to be rolled out in over 10 countries and regions and Asia, in hopes of encouraging fans around the world to pursue their dreams and passions fearlessly.

In an interview at the New Balance press conference, IU expressed her feelings on her latest gig, saying, “New Balance means a lot to me. I think New Balance always sends a message and offers attention to those who tell their own story. When I partnered with New Balance a few years ago, New Balance very (much) focused on my story as an Asian entertainer.”
In line with the new campaign, New Balance has also released a series of pictures featuring IU in chic athleisure wear.
This is definitely an exciting collaboration to look forward to as it’s one of the few sports brands the singer-slash-actress has worked with ever since her debut, among other fashion and food & beverage brands.
