What do you do if you’re craving for ramen or sashimi at an ungodly hour in the night? Fret not, The Ramen Stall’s got your back. This halal ramen restaurant opens till 5 am every single day, and besides ramen, you can find other perennial Japanese favourite dishes here: sushi, donburi, and sashimi.

Hararu means halal and we can’t think of a more appropriate name for Singapore’s first Muslim-owned Japanese charcoal-grilled restaurant. It can’t get any more authentic than with Isuramuya; ingredients are flown in directly from Japan itself! 11. UYI SG

UYI SG is known for their gigantic savoury squids. They are available either crispy and deep-fried or grilled at SGD8 each. These squids are sourced from Yobuko in Saga Prefecture in Japan’s Kyushu island and each squid portion is huge, at 25cm a piece, making the slightly high budget for street food, worth it.

UYI SG is a takeaway stall, and part of its charm is that you get to watch the staff prepare succulent squid pieces in an open kitchen.

12. Gyunion

Can you think of anything more comforting than a warm bowl of gyudon with curry on a rainy afternoon? Neither can we.
