If your FYP (For You Page) has been showing you lots of cooking and baking videos of late, chances are your algorithm’s already geared towards #FoodTok, and you’ve got a ton of recipes saved that you want to try one day.

With dining in at restaurants currently on pause, now is probably the best time to start looking at those saved recipes! We sure did, and we managed to gather 13 viral recipes across four categories right here for you to consider.

These “must-make” dishes don’t just taste good but are also super easy and mess-free that we reckon those who aren’t into #FoodTok would love them just as much. Happy cooking!

Pasta

Vodka Pasta

When model Gigi Hadid shared this vodka recipe she absolutely loved, the recipe exploded on TikTok, with the hashtag #gigihadidpasta trending at over 115 million views at press time.

The ingredients that this simple recipe calls for may surprise you – it’s just mixing olive oil, red onion, tomato paste, and heavy cream with pasta water to create the delicious mouth-watering sauce that’ll go well with any pasta of your choosing.

Baked Feta Pasta

@cookingwithayehBaked Feta Pasta is def worth all the hype!! Inspired by the lovely @feelgoodfoodie ? ##fyp ##foodtiktok ##bakedfeta ##pasta ##foryou ##foryoupage♬ Taste It – Ikson

If you think cooking pasta sauce in a pan is too much of a hassle, we’ve got just the recipe that you have to try. This recipe was so popular in Finland that the grocery stores actually ran out of feta cheese at one point in time!

You’ll love how simple it is to bake this pasta because all it requires is two steps: first is to pop everything into a baking or cast-iron dish, and second is to occasionally take it out of the oven to mix the ingredients around before it’s ready to be served.

We don’t know about you, but the fewer the dishes we have to clean up at the end of it all, the more satisfying the meal. Not to mention, this recipe feeds about four pax so it’s great for the whole family to enjoy too.

Ramen Lasagna

@ramenkingivanRamen lasagna huh? BET! Reply to @thatoffbrandblonegirl ##recipes ##ramen ##collegefood ##cooking ##diy ##food ##howto♬ BOO! – Championxiii

Who would’ve thought that ramen and lasagna would appear together to form a word? Well, it sure went down that way in the world of TikTok. The food trend has been making its rounds for a while but is now back in the spotlight again following a resurgence.

The premise: Using par-cooked (that means cooked first, then dried) ramen noodles – minus the seasoning packet – instead of flat lasagna noodles in the stacking of the casserole, and baking the dish for about 45 minutes.

The fun part of this hybrid dish is that you can either stick to the classic lasagna elements or play around with other ingredients – how does ham, goat cheese, pepperoni or sautéed vegetables sound?

It seems like creative juices just flow endlessly when people are stuck at home with not much to do. This dreamy-looking cloud bread is named after its soft and fluffy texture, and is often coloured with a pastel shade for that Instagram-worthy aesthetic.

Don’t be scared of it though, it’s essentially a baked meringue that you can recreate by whisking together egg whites, sugar, corn starch, and food colouring. No sweat at all!

Nothing short of refreshing and yummy, this Lizzo-approved cereal recipe replaces your traditional cereal with blueberries, strawberries, and pomegranate arils for that cereal-like crunch topped with coconut water and ice cubes.

We don’t know about you, but this bowl of goodness sure reminds us of those days spent relaxing by the beach with a fruit punch in hand – good times!

Breakfast Wrap

@fitwaffleBreakfast Wrap Hack! Who needs to try this? ##wraphack ##wrap ##breakfast ##tiktokfood ##recipe ##ukfood♬ Steven Universe – L.Dre

We all know the disappointment when we take a big bite into a wrap, only to have a mouthful of salty sausages or eggs and no other ingredients to be found.

With this recipe, you’ll taste every ingredient in every bite! It also seems to be less messy as compared to a traditional wrap.

You can even use this hack for other reiterations such as a sushi wrap where you’ll just have to replace the wrap with a nori sheet and place the temaki (hand roll) ingredients in each section.

Desserts

No-Bake Creme Brûlée

@noflakeysaltCreme Brûlée the Easy Way. That rhymes 😉 ##cremebrulee ##letscook ##learnontiktok ##homecook♬ original sound – Roice Bethel

You must be thinking that we’re pulling your leg but here’s the secret to this recipe: vanilla ice cream. Yes, you just need to use the classic ice cream as a base because it already has three of your main ingredients all rolled into one, namely cream, sugar, and vanilla flavour.

The best part? You won’t even have to pop this one into the oven to cook. What you need though is a blowtorch to get that lovely burnt caramel top!

Oreo Mud Cake

@guitarman3245Oreo mug cake ##fypシ ##oreo ##recipe♬ original sound – Owen

Here’s another way to eat your Oreos: mud cake style!

Requiring just six commonly found ingredients (including Oreos), who knew making a cake could be so easy? Pop it into the microwave for a minute and you’re good to go.

Pro tip: We speak from experience when we say that you might want to drape a paper towel over the cup, especially if you’ve got a violent microwave that acts up sometimes – this hack is to prevent any unpredictable “explosions.”

One Minute Chocolate Cookie

@fitfoodie_selma1-minute Triple Chocolate Cookie? ##cookierecipe ##glutenfreerecipe ##foodhacksathome ##microwaverecipes ##quickdesserts ##easydesserts♬ Home – Edith Whiskers

This cookie is as sinful as it looks, and is also such a delicious treat that will have you going to the kitchen to make another – we’re already salivating just by looking at it to write this!

What’s exciting is that you get to switch things up with the toppings too if you like – M&M’s, Reese’s peanut butter cups, sprinkles… just go with whatever floats your boat.
