27 Orchard Road cheap eats for under S$10 that won’t break your bank

Orchard Road may be a haven for high-end shopping, but we know they don’t offer too much if you want to indulge in a delicious but affordable meal in town. More often than not, the only affordable options around are fast food outlets or the Magnolia ice-cream cart outside Ngee Ann City.

“Orchard food is expensive!” is a likely impression most people have.

But if you’re thinking of resigning yourself to yet another McDonald’s lunch, well, don’t go running off just yet, because AVENUE ONE has done the legwork for you. We scoured the streets (and the web!) and found 27 cheap and good food in the Orchard area that you can get for under S$10. Nope, you’re not reading that wrong – get those tummies rumbling, because it’s time to feast!

So what’s for lunch today? Fried or grilled fish? ? #Repost @foodie.forevers_ ・・・ Fish and Spaghetti ? ✨Rating : 7/10 ✨Verdict : Pretty good food, crunchy fish but very easy to cut into, you don’t even need a knife, just use a spoon ????, no fishy smell to it, generous amount, but not served warm though.. although its supposed to be warm as it was served on a pan. Also, if I was given a slice of lemon at the side and some tartar sauce, it’ll be perfect as I can dip the fish in the sauce and squeeze some lemon juice on it. The pasta is also abit on the herb-ier side, but still nice to eat. And the soft boiled egg topped it all of ??? . ?Location : Fish and Chicks ?? . ?Follow me : @foodie.forevers . . . #foodie #foodislove #hungry #food #yummy #ilovefood #alwayshungry #food #buzzfeedfood #tasty #tastyrecipes #foodmunchies #foodporn #foodtruck #foodblogger #comfortfood #foodstagram #foodnetwork #foodblogfeed #foodography #foodpassion #foodbaby #feedfeed #lovefood #sgfoodie #eatguide #igsg #halalfood #halalfoodie

Dinner at @bebekgorengpakndut_sg How have I never been here? We had the original ayam & bebek as well as Sangan ayam & bebek for a taste test – compare and contrast. The original is the best version of penyet I've had but the Sangan was ERMERGAWD… Marinated in some sort of heavenly deliciousness spice mix and cooked in its own fat till the meat is fall-off-the-bone tender with slightly charred and crispy skin; eaten with the runny nose inducing sambal… I didn't have any rice cos #keto… ? I need to go again real soon.
