McDonald’s Singapore is teaming up with celebrity and chef Ben Yeo to launch a new Crispy Hainanese Chicken Burger

First, there was the Nasi Lemak Burger which sold out within 10 days of launch back in 2017. Then, we were blessed with the Ha Ha Cheong Gai Chicken Burger and Rendang Burger in 2018.

This month, McDonald’s Singapore is launching a new locally inspired burger just in time for National Day on Monday (9 Aug).

For the new launch that’s debuting this Thursday (5 Aug), the fast-food chain has collaborated with Mediacorp actor and chef Ben Yeo – and the all-new burger in question?

Crispy Hainanese Chicken Burger.

Inspired by the classic local dish, Hainanese chicken rice, the new creation features a fried chicken patty topped with cabbage, carrots, and lettuce, and paired with mayonnaise, ginger, and garlic chilli sauces – all sandwiched between a soft semolina bun.

That’s not all, it also comes with a sachet of dark sweet sauce to be drizzled onto the burger.

To complement the Cripsy Hainanese Chicken Burger, McDonald’s has also created a limited edition Kopi Frappe, inspired by our favourite local beverage. On top of that, Crisscut Fries and Banana Pie will also be returning to its menu for a limited run.

Check out the limited-edition National Day offerings at most McDonald’s restaurants (except Lido and Parklane Shopping Mall) this Thursday (5 Aug). All items will be available for takeaway and via Drive-Thru, as well as for delivery via McDelivery, GrabFood, and Foodpanda.
