Restaurant Born by Chef Zor Tan is due to open soon and we absolutely can’t wait! BORN is a fine-dining restaurant that serves up contemporary cuisine inspired by Chef Tan’s childhood memories, professional journey, and his personal ideas.

The dishes here are centred around nine guiding principles and are prepared with the style of French gastronomy and a Chinese twist.

Here, you can expect an engaging experience where you not only get to enjoy sumptuous food, but also admire the artistic expression of Chef Tan’s ‘best life’.

yì by Jereme Leung is back with another specially curated seasonal menu for us to relish China’s spring harvest such as spring onion, spinach, edamame, imperial vegetables, and mugwort through a delicious spread of dishes.

Whet your appetite with cold dishes including the Beancurd Skin Roll stuffed with Tuna, Tofu and Spring Onions, and the Poached Sea Whelk with Chilli and Sichuan Peppercorn Dressing. Then, move on to main courses that are sure to keep your mouth watering.

We’re definitely excited about the Wok-Fried Hokkaido Scallops and Imperial Vegetables with Grilled Green Pepper Sauce, Pan-Fried Sea Cucumber stuffed with Minced Shrimps and Edamame Purée with Scallion Oil, as well as the highly coveted Steamed Mugwort Glutinous Dumplings stuffed with Water Chestnuts and Mixed Mushrooms!

5. Offshore Bar & Grill (OBG) x What The Mutt (WTM)

What’s better than eating a delicious meal? Having it with your furkid right beside you, of course! This May, Offshore Bar & Grill (OBG) is partnering with What The Mutt (WTM) to bring to us a pet-friendly dining experience where you not only get to bond with your furkids and cook for them, but also raise awareness for a good cause!

You can expect a specially crafted menu for your dogs featuring fresh wagyu beef, free range chicken, and Norwegian salmon. All diners will also receive a WTM x OBG collapsible pet bowl as well as a WTM discount voucher.

This collaboration will run for three months with 20% of the profits being donated to adopted charity, Exclusively Mongrels, to raise awareness for animal welfare and adoption.

6. Jurassic World Dominion Dining Adventure

Upon arrival at the food court, you will be greeted by Dr. Rodney, who will show you a newly hatched Velociraptor egg and explain the dangers that lie outside. Continue your journey into the food court and you’ll be led to your table where you’ll be able to enjoy an immersive dining experience.

The four-course dinner draws inspiration from the diets of the dinosaurs from Jurassic World Dominion, so you can expect dishes such as BBQ Pork Ribs, Beef Skewers, as well as a visually pleasing amber dessert made with lemongrass osmanthus jelly.

Dig into the scrumptious meal as you immerse yourself in the captivating storytelling and admire the sights of technical effects and life-size dinosaur appearances! This will certainly be a memorable experience for the little ones!

7. Ichigo Ichie

Ichigo Ichie presents an exclusive sake created specially to celebrate sanpō yoshi – the commitment that was started by a group of businessmen to do good for themselves, their clients, and the wider community.

The sake, La La La, was painstakingly created by Chef Akane Eno in collaboration with rice farmers in Yamagata, Azumanofumoto Sake Brewery, and Tōhoku University of Art & Design over the course of six months. Finally, diners are able to enjoy the fruits of their labour.

In the spirit of sanpō yoshi, diners who previously made a reservation for the sanpō yoshi menu will be given a complimentary bottle of La La La. Also, guests will also be able to enjoy a complimentary glass of the sake upon arrival. If you wish to support the farmers and Chef Eno, you can proceed to purchase a bottle of La La La for S$198++.

8. Meat & Livestock Australia

Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) is a producer-owned company that specialises in the Australian red meat and livestock industry, and this May, its Lambassador chefs have put together a Four Hands Dining experience in Singapore where guests can delight themselves in all-natural, sustainable, and high-quality Australian lamb.

On 18 May, you can revel in a lavish menu prepared by Chef Eddie Goh and Chef Paul Hallett at SKAI on the 70th floor of Swissôtel The Stamford. Prepared using a mix of French-Japanese and American Barbeque smoking techniques, the dishes such as Roasted Lamb Consommé with Seaweed, Daikon, and Confit Lamb Shoulder, Buttermilk Brine Lamb Taco, Tomato Chutney, and Herb Brine Lamb Chop with Walnut Puree will certainly make your mouth water.

On 19 and 26 May, you can dig into two menus that combine Mediterranean and modern Indian Barbecue cuisines at Monti and Meatsmith Little India. The highlights of these two menus include White Pyrenees Grain Fed Lamb Tartare, 14-hour Smoked Lamb Shoulder with Garlic Mashed Potato and Crispy Lamb Fat, and Slow-cooked Lamb Neck served with Pistachio and Dill Crust, Heirloom Carrot, Mustard, and Truffle and Free-range Yolk Sauce.

The Dempsey Project has recently teamed up with local artisanal kueh brand, Mrs Kueh, to bring to us  an afternoon tea special where you get to indulge in tier after tier of sweet and savoury bakes in an aesthetic yet cosy communal dining space.

The afternoon tea shines the spotlight on treats such as the Chicken & Gherkin sandwich, Raisin Scones served with Cream & Strawberry Preserve, Lemon Tart, and the Purple Ondeh Ondeh made with Okinawan sweet potatoes filled with gula melaka and rolled in fresh shredded coconut. Pair these treats with a cup of coffee or hot tea and you’ll get perfection.

Start the night off with signatures of Singapore such as the Little Red Dot which consists of a blend of Hendrick’s gin, Sg Distillery Stolen Roses Gin, raspberry coconut syrup, citrus, and egg; and the Lychee In The City which is a harmonious blend of Reyka Vodka, Cointreau, Kwai Fei Lychee, cranberry, citric acid, and bubbles.

11. Chatsworth Cookies at Baker X

You may have heard of Baker X, a baking studio and cafe that aims to provide home-based bakers with a platform to market and sell their bakes at a retail store.

The baker featured changes every few weeks and Chatsworth Cookies currently taking up the space till 5 June 2022.

This home bakery is known for its artisanal New York-style chunky and gooey cookies, petite cookies by the jar.

Classic flavours include Walnut Chocolate Chip (our favourite!), Triple Dark Chocolate, Matcha White Chocolate, Oatmeal Raisin, Cranberry White Chocolate, and Double Chocolate Peanut Butter.

Currently, its seasonal pick is Black Sesame, which is great for those who prefer a more unconventional flavour.

Other bakes include Cookies by The Jar, which are bite-sized treats with delectable flavours including Nutella Tart, Danish Butter Cookies, and Cereal Cookies.

Check out the decadent Double Fromage Truffle Cheesecake, an exclusive creation offered only at Baker X, when you are there. This six-inch cake features a combination of velvety cream cheese incorporated with truffle oil and paste for that rich flavour and earthy aroma.

The idea of this cake sounds intriguing at first and upon tasting, it really does have an interesting taste the grew on us.
