In the blink of an eye, it’s already February of 2022! And if you’ve taken a look at the calendar, you would know that this month is full of exciting occasions like Chinese New Year and the most romantic day of the year, Valentine’s Day.

As you start planning what to do with your loved ones, you might also want to keep an eye out for exciting new restaurants and menus that are launching so that you can make the most out of the month. Lucky for you, we’ve decided to compile a list of new restaurants and new menus so that you can refer to them easily! Read on to find out more!

New restaurants

1. Sol & Luna

Sol & Luna is a new Latin-European restaurant that is opening this month on the 17th floor of Singapore’s latest 51-storey skyscraper, CapitaSpring. Being nestled in the buildings Green Oasis, a sanctuary-in-the-sky of lush greenery, and 100 metres above the ground, Sol & Luna offers great views and the perfect respite from the busy city life.

The restaurant spotlights dishes from four regions – Italy, France, Portugal, and Spain. You can look forward to enjoying a nice breakfast in the morning before work, or head here for a chill dinner with your colleagues after a long day of hustling. Some of the recommended dishes are the Truffle Risotto, Smoked Duck and Foie Gras Rillette, Piri Piri Chicken Thigh, and White Gazpacho.

Dine in the air-conditioned dining area, or enjoy the cool breeze on the al fresco terrace. No matter where you choose to dine, it will be an experience to remember.

2. Surrey Hills Grocer

Surrey Hills Grocer is an all-new homegrown grocer and one-stop lifestyle and dining destination that aims to bring Australian produce, products, cuisines, and experiences to Singaporeans so that we can have a little taste of Australia even without travelling.

Perhaps the most exciting concept would be the Surrey Hills Cafe which offers an al fresco dining concept with dishes specially curated by an Australian Michelin-starred chef based in Singapore.

One unique dish to try is the Crayfish Benny, which boasts marinated crayfish and molten eggs topped with crayfish reduction hollandaise on toasted English muffins.

There is also the Steak Sandwich, which features an Australian King Island Sirloin 3/4 served with house mustard mayo, pepper, and sea salt flakes.

And of course, as with every other cafe in Singapore, Surrey Hills Cafe also offers aromatic brews for your coffee fix other than delectable dishes. The brews are made using one of Australia’s best known coffee brands, Proud Mary Coffee, and you can be assured that the coffee beans are sustainably sourced. If you had to choose one brew on the menu, definitely give the Humbler a try!

3. PAZZION Cafe

Those who love shopping for shoes would most likely be familiar with the shoe brand, PAZZION. They are known to offer a wide selection of fashionable flats and heels with sparkly embellishments, perfect for any occasion.

They’ve already expanded their offerings to F&B when they opened the first PAZZION Cafe in Jewel Changi Airport, and now, they’re opening another outlet at Ngee Ann City.

The flagship store and cafe will be opening officially in March 2022, but the establishment has already been open ever since its soft launch on 21 January 2022.

At the cafe, you can expect breakfast and brunch offerings, as well as burgers, sandwiches, pastas, desserts, and more. For drinks, you can also enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, or go for a refreshing glass of soda, juice, or smoothie.

From now till 15 February, you can indulge in the Chinese New Year festive specials such as the Orange Blossom mocktail and the Abundance of Blessings.

4. Wicked Wings

There’s a new kid on the block, and we’re so excited to try it out! Wicked Wings is a new halal-certified joint that serves up chicken mid-joints, drumettes, and boneless chicken breast strips. But Wicked Wings doesn’t just serve fried chicken, it serves fried chicken cooked in different flavours.

There are a total of 11 different flavours to choose from, and each flavour is deliberately selected to highlight the delicious Asian flavours that we all love – chilli crab, salted egg, Sichuan mala, rojak, and more.

Must-try signature flavours include the Stay Crispy (Original), SC Power (Sichuan Spice), Sweet Sensations (Sweet Soy – Kecap Manis), and Floss Flex (Chicken Floss).

5. Pita Tree Kebabs

It’s time to rejoice because Pita Tree Kebabs has opened a new outlet and this time, it’s located at Marina One, making it convenient for those working in the Central Business District (CBD) to get their Mediterranean cuisine fix.

6. ATLAS

ATLAS has launched its latest drinking menu, Sense of Place, and it invites you to explore the architectural wonders of European Art Deco, as well as the shared connections between the past and present.

7. Tippling Club

In celebration of its 14th year of service in Singapore, Tippling Club is introducing a few new menus for both lunch and dinner.

The menus are developed by Chef-Owner Ryan Clift and Head Chef Ayo Adeyemi, and the prix fixe menus for lunch (S$110++) will rotate on a fortnightly basis to offer a variety for patrons. The menu features four snacks, five main courses, pre-dessert, and petit fours.

8. 50Fifty x Janice Wong

Janice Wong and Tryson Quek of 2am:dessertbar have partnered up with bartender Bannie Kang of Sidedoor to offer a limited edition menu (S$138++) featuring six courses paired with specially curated cocktails throughout the month of February at the intimate pocket bar, 50Fifty.

Start the night off strong with Algae, a No.3 Iris Oyster with a side of Cucumber, Kombu, and Frost paired with Clean Water, a cocktail made with The Macallan Sherry Oak 12Y, Guava, Osmanthus, Sencha, and Verbena.

The meal continues to impress with an entrée featuring Ugly Duckling, a confit duck rillette, paired with White Meat, a cocktail comprising Brugal Especial, Pineapple, Coconut, and Cream Clarified.

This is followed by Cow on Field, a steak tartare, along with Green Land made with Naked Malt, Fernet Hunter, Curry Leaf, Watermelon, and spicy Maqow pepper. Indulge in the Chicken Broth and Fatty Fish, before ending your meal with Drunken Island, a boozy dessert made of Whisky Crème Anglaise, Ginger, Sea Salt Caramel, Chocolate, and Bergamot, paired with Double Red.

9. Fat Cow

As we ring in the new year, Fat Cow is also refreshing its offerings to bring to us a new set of omakase options as well as new dish creations.

If you’ve been missing the Wagyu Omakase (S$320++) at Fat Cow that was halted back in August 2021, you’ll be glad that it will be making a comeback soon with a reinvented iteration featuring brand new wagyu discoveries and new flavours.

Look forward to the Saroma Wagyu which is served as Binchotan Grilled Wagyu and accompanied with complementary condiments that will guarantee mouthfuls bursting with flavours, the Wagyu Tataki and Seafood Tataki that see the pairing of proteins with vegetables for a refreshing sweetness to the entire dish.

The Chef’s Table Omakase (S$138++ for lunch, S$280++ for dinner) has also been reinvented to include crowd-favourites like the Surf and Turf, as well as new additions such as the Cod Milt Tempura and the Yari Ika and Nagaimo Somen.

10. Baker X

Baker X is a new concept by Far East Organisation that spotlights various home-based bakers, giving them the opportunity to try their hands at running their own retail store with a fully fitted baking studio at no extra cost. Each home-based baker will be given the chance to operate and showcase their bakes for a couple of weeks, before the next home-based baker in line takes over.

From 8 to 20 February, Mon Cerise Patisserie will be taking charge of the Baker X baking studio and baker Cherry Chiu will be presenting a collection of French style tarts and individual cakes that are not just decadent, but also visually appealing.

These creations are baked with premium ingredients using a healthier and lighter recipe, so you can indulge in these pastries guilt-free.

11. Bedrock Origin

Bedrock Origin has introduced a brand new Beef & Reef series, a quarterly showcase annually that celebrates fresh seafood and premium meats prepared with various culinary techniques.

For the first edition that will be taking place from now till 31 March 2022, indulge in a Six-Course Dinner Tasting Menu (S$188++ per person) with highlights such as the Kingfish Tartare, Grilled Octopus Tentacles, and Kyoto Tamba A5 Wagyu (100g).
