Ingredients:

  1. Eggs
  2. Ketchup
  3. Black sesame or other dark coloured fruit and nuts
  4. Bread, toasted

Steps:

  1. Whisk eggs together and fry in a frying pan. Ensure the eggs are flat, so that they’re easier to cut.

This super-trendy sandwich recipe originates from a viral post of a Korean girl asking her ex how he made his blueberry cream cheese sandwiches, inspiring the Korean convenience store chain GS25 to make their own spinoff called the “Boyfriend sandwich”. Here’s how to make your own!

Ingredients:

  1. Bread, toasted
  2. Blueberry jam (he apparently used the San Dalfour brand)
  3. Regular marshmallows
  4. Cream cheese

Steps:

  1. Spread the cream cheese onto each slice of toast, followed by the jam.
  2. Cut the marshmallows into smaller pieces and arrange on top of the jam.
  3. Put the two halves together.

  1. Bread, toasted. You can choose to use regular white bread, or any other kinds of bread like baguettes.

  4. Tomato paste (pizza sauce)

Steps:

  1. Spread the tomato onto the hot toast, then top with cheese. You can either leave the cheese to melt, or grill it further.

  1. 2 leaves lettuce
  2. 2 slices tomato
  3. 2 slices bread, toasted
  4. 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  5. Oil or butter

Steps:

  1. Heat up oil in a large and deep pan, and fry the bacon for 10 minutes, or until brown. Remove excess oil by laying it on paper towel.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on one side of a piece of bread, then layer lettuce, tomato, and the bacon on the other. Put the two halves together.

9. PB&J French toast recipe

Most of us have had at least one or two of this classic combination growing up, so why not try experimenting with it?

Ingredients:

French Toast

  1. 2 slices of bread
  2. 1 egg
  3. 2 tablespoons of milk
  4. A pinch of cinnamon and brown sugar
  5. Butter

Fillings

  1. Fruit jelly/jam of your choice
  2. Peanut butter
  3. Icing sugar (optional)

Steps:

  1. Whisk the egg, milk, cinnamon and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Heat up a pan with butter.
  3. Take each slice of bread and lightly place it in the mixture. Don’t soak it, or there won’t be enough for both.
  4. Place bread onto the heated pan and cook for two minutes on each side, then flip onto original side and cook until fully done.
  5. Remove from pan and spread peanut butter and jam onto the fully cooked side. Place the other slice fully cooked side down onto the peanut butter and jelly. The half cooked sides should be on the outside.
  6. Return the sandwich to the pan and cook on low until done.

10. Grilled cheese toast recipe

One of the most popular choices for comfort food worldwide, you have a couple of recipes depending on the amount of time you have on your hands.

Ingredients:

  1. 2 bread slices
  2. Cheddar slices
  3. Butter

Steps:

  1. Preheat pan over medium heat.
  2. Generously butter one side of a slice of bread. Place bread butter-side-down onto skillet bottom and add one slice of cheese.
  3. Butter a second slice of bread on one side and place butter-side-up on top of sandwich.
  4. Grill until lightly browned and flip over.
  5. Continue grilling until cheese is melted.
  6. Repeat with remaining 2 slices of bread, butter and slice of cheese.
