Mid-autumn festival will be on 13 September this year, and while we’re still two months away, some of the top restaurants have already released their mooncake offerings and many of them are already available for reservation.

Whether you’re shopping for yourself or as a token of appreciation to a loved one or business associate, you’d be happy to know that there are many exciting flavours available this year. There are savoury options that feature chicken ham, salted egg yolk hae bee hiam, and even truffle carbonara, several alcoholic flavours, an indulgent one that uses bird’s nest, and many that feature fruits like kiwi, dragonfruit, mango, just to name a few.

1. Goodwood Park Hotel

Premium Duo: ‘Mao Shan Wang’ and Black Thorn Durian

Attention all durian aficionados! This year, Goodwood Park Hotel is bringing back the Premium Duo: ‘Mao Shan Wang’ and Black Thorn Durian snowskin mooncakes, featuring two of the most popular types of durians. Banana Chocolate

Banana chocolate might be a flavour you’ll associate with the famous Tokyo Banana or even a Kit Kat, but Executive Chef Lester Wang at Grand Mercure has decided to introduce his own interpretation of this flavour by making it the signature mooncake of this year’s collection.
