With high ceilings, lots of windows, and artsy wood banisters spread out over two floors, Chemistree Café is considered to be one of the best cafes in Batam to get some amazing aesthetic shots. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that they serve some hearty, delectable mains with coffee too!
Can’t decide on what to try from their extensive menu? Their yummy pasta dishes and loaded milkshake volcanoes seems to be a big hit, so go for those when in doubt.

3. One Dozen Café (Permanently closed)
Formerly known as Kopi Raya Café, One Dozen Café was the go-to place for seafood and coffee. We know, we know, it sounds odd, but people swore by their crab spread, as do they for their variety of coffee options out there. They have both sweet and savoury finger foods, too, and some to-die-for laksa.
It was one of the best cafes in Batam. Unfortunately, it has since closed down.
4. HABIT: A Coffee Crafter
They’re serious about their coffee over at HABIT: A Coffee Crafter, so all caffeine-lovers should definitely make a trip down. The wide selection available may be a little overwhelming, though, but don’t worry: the baristas are friendly and more than willing to share their expertise.
They also serve a mix of Western and local favourites, such as Sirloin Steak and Nasi Goreng, with their mixed juices (think a mango, orange and pineapple smoothie?) proving to be a hit as well. Yum!
