Siam Gypsy Junction Night Market was one of the best night markets in Bangkok. As it sat right alongside the State Railway of Thailand’s main track out of Bangkok, visitors could expect trains to roar past as they shopped, giving a whole other experience unlike any other night market in Bangkok. The market was famous for its huge number of vendors touting vintage wares spread out on the ground. There were also old-fashioned camper vans and mock taverns scattered across the market where visitors could find more retro furniture shops, bars, coffee shops and restaurants.

Unfortunately, this night market has closed down.

This night market is especially popular with the locals, thanks to the affordable prices of clothes, toys, makeup, fashion accessories, and even knock-off luxury items (we’re not recommending them, though!). Liab Duan also offers many food options, ranging from Thai classics to pubs and bar establishments. Plus point – they even offer a petting zoo with sheep!

7. Artbox Bangkok (Permanently closed)

best night markets in bangkok - artbox

Most people would be familiar with Artbox Bangkok, one of the best night markets in Bangkok. It was so popular that we’ve even had a few smaller runs of it right here in Singapore, with crowds flocking to the market the moment it opened.

Artbox Bangkok’s stalls (not all of them) were usually housed in giant metal shipping containers that could be moved around the city. This gave them the flexibility to set up the market anywhere in Bangkok. We loved it for its affordable items from local designers, vintage fashion, handmade accessories, funky gadgets, and hip home décor items.

Unfortunately, this night market has closed down.

8. JJ Green 2

Boasting chill, bohemian vibes, the JJ Green 2 Night Market comprises a mix of permanently built shops and bars, whilst local peddlers lay-out their merchandise on makeshift stalls or just spread it over the floor.

There are a few food and dessert stalls scattered around here, but the treasures are all in the zone at the back. Get your fill of shopping first before heading to the food zone for some delicious local food. With so many options for food and shopping, there’s no doubt hat this is one of the best night markets in Bangkok.

Located 50 km from Bangkok, this once small village apparently already existed in the mid-17th century. Over the years, it has attracted so many crowds on weekends that food stalls have grown from the riverbanks and stretched far into the surrounding streets. The main draw here is eating seafood on the small wooden boats, but if you want to try something unique, check out the unusual or even funny-looking food offerings, ranging from ice cream sandwiches to alien-looking helmet crab egg salad. With such a unique experience, this is truly one of the best night markets in Bangkok.
