This special edition G-shock can transform into Optimus Prime and we can’t get over it

In celebration of the 35th anniversary of Transformers (in 2019) and 35th anniversary of G-Shock (in 2018), Casio, which owns G-Shock, has released a G-Shock “Optimus Prime” watch.

In the spirit of the transforming ability that Transformers are known for, the G-Shock DW-6900 watch will be able to turn into different modes, including the “Robot Mode” and “Pedestal Prime Mode”. The latter works as a display stand for the watch.

This special edition watch features a red bezel, blue bands, and a silver face with the Transformers logo on it. The Autobot emblem will also appear when the EL backlight is activated.

If you’re a Transformers or G-Shock fan (or simply find this ultra cool), you’d be able to get it in Japan. The set, which also includes a transforming Optimus Prime figure, will be released on 8 December, with a listed price of ¥29,000 (approximately S$353).
