This is the most welcoming and cosy staycation I’ve had in Singapore – and it’s in the heart of Orchard Road

Whether it’s for a staycation or a short-term accommodation, those who have their children in tow have lots to consider: are there enough space for them to run around, is it convenient, will the children be engaged?

This is probably why Far East Hospitality’s Your Family Moments campaign is so relatable to me – a parent with two young children.

The campaign aims to provide a range of family-friendly experiences during stays at their eight serviced residences in Singapore. These residences include Adina Serviced Apartments Singapore Orchard, Far East Plaza Residences, Oasia Residence Singapore, Orchard Parksuites, Orchard Scotts Residences, Village Residence Hougang, Village Residence Robertson Quay, and Village Residence West Coast.

To truly experience what’s Far East Hospitality idea of “Your Family Moments”, I checked in with my family to Orchard Parksuites for 3D2N to find out how it is for us.

Orchard Parksuites review

The first thing that attracted me as a parent with young children was convenient location of Orchard Parksuites. Located just a stone’s throw away from three of Orchard Road’s largest malls: ION Orchard, Wisma Atria, and Ngee Ann City, there was a ton of food options and amenities for us.

The children were happy that we could visit a different mall every day for our meals and since these places were so near the apartment, they had no problem walking on their own, which made it easier for the parents too.

There’s lots of space in the living area and while the kitchen isn’t huge, it allows us to cook up a simple meal.

Stepping into the apartment that comes with two bedrooms and a kitchen, I felt that the ambience was homely and comfortable. I’d imagine that for those who are staying there for short-term while transiting to a new country or waiting for their new house to be ready, are going to feel relaxed and comfortable in an environment that feels like home.

As part of the Your Family Moments campaign, Orchard Parksuites placed activity books, kid-friendly baking sets, and a Play-Doh set in our apartment, so there was never a boring moment for the children. In fact, I appreciated that the children were able to quietly explore the new activities on their own while I made breakfast for them in the kitchen with no fuss.

Besides these, there were also special touches for the children in the apartment that made them feel welcomed as they were sleeping and playing away from the comforts of their own home. These include customised duvets that weren’t just cute but super soft, and fun-sized furniture where they could easily do activities on.

My children had a lot of fun and they were very drawn to the plushies in the image of the mascots.

The campaign’s lovable mascots, Berry and Peary, are an adorable strawberry and pear duo with charming smiles – and boy, were my children delighted to see their cute faces. As each family were gifted plushies of Berry and Peary, my children were thrilled to have these new companions with them during the stay. In fact, even though our stay was over a month ago, they still cuddle up with these plushies and remember the stay by them.

The master bedroom (left) was spacious; it has a desk for me to finish my work at and a vanity table for me to complete my skincare routine and do my makeup.

Having sufficient space in the apartment also made things a lot easier for everyone. The children had fun exploring the different rooms and had enough space for play and I was glad to have a separate room from them so I can enjoy some me-time after they turn in or to catch up with work.

As a bonus, Orchard Parksuites has a swimming pool and tennis courts so you can get active during your stay. The staff were also very friendly and good with children so my kids were always happy to see them.

As we say goodbye to Orchard Parksuites, we were gifted a polaroid picture of our stay – a token that all guests will receive – which helps to immortalise those great memories created. It’s a thoughtful touch that I really appreciate and I’d certainly consider staying with them again.

To experience Your Family Moments, guests can book a stay at any Far East Hospitality serviced residence in Singapore from now till 15 December 2023. The stay period is from now to 31 December 2023. Find out more about Orchard Parksuites here.
