You can now have basic necessities and home essentials delivered to you from ZALORA

E-tailer ZALORA is probably most known for their assortment of fashion retail options, but in support of communities and customers during the COVID-19 crisis, it has introduced an Essential Supplies category on their website. This means that you can now access more than 3,000 essential products, including food, personal care products, and pharmaceutical products on ZALORA, which hopefully will relieve the stress of waiting for another delivery slot on other platforms or braving the crowds at retail stores.

ZALORA’s self-standing logistics network allows them to utilise its fulfilment centre to deliver fundamental products to customers. The e-tailer has since added new partners including Corlison, Legendairy Milk SG, Lifetrons SG, Decks Pte Ltd, Allstar Marketplace, Prestigio Delights, Bloom Concept, The Cocoa Trees, Vitakids, The Nurturing Co and more to cater for the Essential Supplies category.

After checking out the category, AVENUE ONE finds that while the variety of products certainly can’t beat that of the more popular food and home essential stores, it helps cater to general needs.

You can find food items like cooking oil, pasta, cereals, and snacks, as well as home essentials like laundry detergent, floor cleaners, and dish-washing liquid easily. For those who are looking for disposable masks, you can buy either one box or five to even 20 boxes – available in both adult and kid sizes. We were also happy to see that feminine hygiene products were among the offering.

In addition to these efforts, ZALORA is also opening its platform as a donation channel in partnership with the Singapore Red Cross (SRC). You can find out more about this initiative here.

Proceeds from the e-donation drive will be used to support customised care packages and psychosocial support calls for seniors living alone, sanitation kits for Red Cross Singapore’s volunteers and staff who continue to provide humanitarian services to the vulnerable.
