As we stepped into the Quincy Hotel, we were welcomed by the Qool Team and treated to a delightful welcome ice cream. The Deluxe Room awaited us, offering a comfortable and luxurious setting to settle into.

But the excitement doesn’t end there. As part of the package, we had the opportunity to participate in Sachi’s Cocktail Making Workshop, where we were be introduced to the world of soy wine – a new category of wine we’ve never heard of before.

Sachi, the world’s first soy wine brand, produces their wines sustainably in Singapore using a zero-waste process. By utilising soy whey, a by-product of tofu manufacturing, they create low-calorie and antioxidant-rich soy wines.

As an exclusive collaboration with Quincy Hotel, Sachi has crafted the refreshing Soursop Quincy Quencher, which was used to create our very own Quincy cocktail during the workshop.

We were initially expecting a technical class, but it turned out that the workshop was super casual, fun, and allowed us to be imaginative.

The instructor kicked off the session by asking us to come up with a name for our cocktail, then introduced us to the ingredients we could use to make our signature cocktail.

Besides having fun playing mixologist, it was also a good chance to get to know your staycation partner a little better through the cocktail that he/she created.

But the indulgence doesn’t stop there. The Qool Weekend package also includes a chance to unleash your inner Willy Wonka at Mr. Bucket Chocolaterie’s Chocolate Factory.

This Singapore-based chocolate lifestyle brand specialises in artisanal chocolate bonbons and treats using cacao sourced exclusively from Asia.

You’ll have the opportunity to create your very own chocolate slab at their Creation Station, with a wide array of chocolate bases, toppings, and inclusions to choose from.

I went with a dark chocolate that contains roasted macadamia and raspberry bits, topped with pistachio and sea salt.

It was fun choosing and speaking with the artisan, learning more about how flavours and textures are added to a chocolate slab. This was a fun activity to do with my staycation partner and the chocolate would also be a perfect gift for a loved one. Moreover, we enjoyed spending our time around the Dempsey Hill area, which is home to many restaurants and cafes with good ambience.

Even when we weren’t engaged with these activities, it was satisfying just hanging out within the hotel.

After all, Quincy Hotel is renowned for its iconic offerings, and the Qool Weekend is no exception.

I love that our mornings were worry-free as breakfast was served from 7am to 3pm (yes, so we didn’t even set any morning alarm!)

And as the evening rolled in, we witnessed the transformation of Quincy’s outdoor space into a vibrant setting, where we could enjoy a rotating menu of canapés paired with two rounds of beers, wines, or mocktails from 6pm to 8pm.
