KINN Studios Review: New Hotel Offers a Tranquil Escape with a Focus on Mental Wellness

Nestled amidst the vibrant atmosphere of Keong Saik Road, the recently unveiled KINN Studios isn’t just a hotel; it’s a haven for self-discovery and emotional rejuvenation.

Stepping into its four-storey sanctuary, I was greeted by a hushed calm, a stark contrast to the city’s pulsating energy just beyond its walls. Here, earthy tones and a signature fragrance weave a spell of tranquility, inviting me to shed the weight of my long day and reconnect with my inner self.

Diverging from its predecessor, KINN Capsule, KINN Studios offers a haven of complete room experiences. Whether you seek the sun-drenched charm of the Cosy Rooms, the accessible comfort of the Ground Rooms (designed for wheelchair users), or the secluded serenity of the Hideaway Rooms on the top floor, each space is thoughtfully crafted for your well-being.

Collaborations with local businesses like lettering and typography artist Qinyi, and fashion brand Three Buttons, bring the vivacious spirit of Singapore’s creative scene right into the hotel’s lounge.

Through its collaboration with Qinyi, KINN Studios showcases her work at the lounge, which lends an added sense of tranquility and beauty to it.

The lounge was a comfortable space to hang out at.

The lounge serves as a comfortable communal space for me to get some work done or simply hang out at with no agenda on my to-do list.

The display of various art pieces across the hotel’s lounge and selected rooms will be refreshed regularly to allow guests to experience different artistic expressions throughout the seasons.

With its partnership with Three Buttons, KINN has created a limited edition KINN shirt that embodies the hotel’s clean colour palette and features a subtle KINN logo on its pocket. Additionally, the hotel will be introducing exclusive merchandise such as eye masks and self-care journals for guests to enjoy.

But what truly sets KINN Studios apart is its unwavering focus on mental well-being. KINN Studios aims to be more than just a hotel, but a conscious choice for the mindful traveller.

This ethos swiftly became apparent during my stay; it was evident that “mental wellness” wasn’t just a trendy buzzword at KINN; it’s interwoven into the very fabric of the experience.

KINN walks the talk with its partnership with Safe Space™, an online/offline mental health counseling service, which provides guests with access to therapy sessions, even for travellers grappling with pre-trip anxieties.

And it doesn’t stop there. The specially designed KINN Pocket Serenity wellness booklet, gifted to every guest, brims with affirmations and journaling prompts curated by therapists. It’s a gentle nudge towards self-reflection and a reminder that well-being extends beyond the confines of the hotel.

Even the most mindful traveller seeks convenience during their stay and I was delighted that KINN Studios catered to this need.

Located right at the heart of the city, I had effortless access to a myriad of food and drink establishments that remained open till late. This meant that I could venture out for a late-night snack or a tipple whenever the mood struck during my stay.

My time at KINN Studios was truly enriching; it provided an ideal space to reconnect with myself, explore inner landscapes, and I emerged feeling rejuvenated. Whether you’re a solo adventurer seeking respite, a culture enthusiast uncovering Singapore’s hidden gems, or a local resident yearning for a staycation amid overwhelming routines, you’ll revel in the tranquil haven that KINN Studios offers for your mind, body, and soul
