Company behind Pokemon Go announces official release date of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite

After the wildly successful launch of the Pokemon Go game app, Niantic has been teasing about the launch of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. The company and WB Games have finally announced an official release date: 21 June, at a press event.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is a location-based augmented reality game inspired by the Harry Potter franchise. Players begin ass a new recruit of the Stature of Secrecy Task Force, under the Ministry of Magic and the International Confederation of Wizards. The task would be to investigate and contain a calamity where artefacts. creatures, people, and even memories mysteriously appear in the Muggle world. Read more about the game here.

At the press event announcing the release date of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, Niantic also confirmed that they will hold events similar to its Pokemon Go Fest to promote this new game.

A beta app available only in Australia and New Zealand has been rolled out in early May. Niantic said that they will begin rolling out the game country by country, beginning with the USA and UK from 21 June.

There hasn’t been any confirmation on when it will reach Singapore and the rest of Asia.
