Beloved Danish variety store Flying Tiger Copenhagen has officially opened its first store in Singapore, bringing its colourful, design-forward concept to Bugis+. Known for reimagining everyday items through a quirky, joyful lens, the brand marks its Singapore debut in partnership with Southeast Asia’s leading lifestyle retailer, PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAP).
This launch is part of Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s regional expansion across Asia, following successful openings in Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The Bugis+ flagship is now the brand’s fourth destination in the region; adding a new dash of Danish delight to Singapore’s vibrant shopping scene.
For the uninitiated, Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s journey began at a flea market in 1988 and evolved into a retail sensation with over 1,000 stores across 39 countries. The first official store, named “Tiger”, launched in 1995 with a simple idea: offer well-designed products at just 10 Danish kroner. Fast forward to today, and the brand continues to spread its joyful philosophy across the globe.
From whimsical stationery and clever kitchen gadgets to quirky home décor and feel-good gifts, Flying Tiger Copenhagen turns the mundane into magical. The brand’s ever-evolving selection, paired with its signature maze-like store layout, makes every visit an adventure.

Opening Festivities at Bugis+
The store officially opens its doors on 28 July 2025. To celebrate, an interactive pop-up will be held at the Bugis+ atrium from 1 to 3 August, featuring spin-the-wheel stations, mini games, and exclusive prizes, giving visitors a first taste of the brand’s signature sense of fun.
