These Starbucks cups change colour depending on temperature and light exposure – too pretty!

Starbucks Japan has launched a drinkware collection made up of four colour-changing cups.

These are available in yellow, pink, blue, and green, and change colours depending on temperature and light exposure, just like how a mood ring works. You can use them to hold both hot and cold drinks and each cup is packaged with a special bag that has a sticker that says “NO FILTER” as a tribute to freedom of self-expression.

Starbucks Japan will donate 10% of proceeds from these cups to non-profit organisation ReBit, an initiative in Japan that promotes diversity education in schools, offering classes on inclusion and LGBTQ+ topics.

These cups retail for ¥2,860 JPY (~S$35) and are available at the Starbucks Japan website.

While we can’t find the same cups in Singapore’s retail stores, we found a Shopee merchant that sells something that look very similar – a series of colour-changing Starbucks cups that were released in Taiwan last year. You can check out the store here if you’re interested.
