Put your hands up if you’re a BTS or SEVENTEEN fan! Being a hardcore fan of them, you’ve probably watched their reality show, In the SOOP, where both boy groups had the chance to take a short break from their busy lives in the city and relax in a more peaceful location where they can get in touch with nature.
If you’ve been feeling envious of their South Korean fans who got the opportunity to visit the reality show’s pop-up concept store in Seoul, South Korea last year, it’s time for you to put away those feelings and rejoice, because In the SOOP has arrived in Singapore!
In the SOOP pop-up store
The pop-up store spans across almost 2,000 square feet with two entrances that you can enter from, and it offers a huge range of more than 300 merchandise related to BTS and SEVENTEEN’s In the SOOP episodes.
Upon entering the store, you’ll notice that they used artificial turf for the flooring to create a nature-like realm. Some of the merchandise are also placed in green crates for a more rustic feel. Immerse yourself in the forest-themed pop-up store and feel as if you’re on vacation with your favourite idols.
As you walk around, you’ll hear BTS and SEVENTEEN’s songs playing in the background to add on to the atmosphere. There are also two television screens in the store that each plays BTS’ and SEVENTEEN’s In the SOOP episodes in case you would like to rewatch snippets of them.
Merchandise available
Other than seeing the logos and character drawings of your favourite idols on the merchandise, the items are also adorned with a cute little green mascot named SOOPY.
Step in and browse through the wide collection of items available. On the racks, you’ll see some BTS and SEVENTEEN apparel, such as graphic tees, hoodies, sweatshirts, windbreakers, and denim jackets.
There are also gym shorts and track pants available.
Move along and you’ll spot stationery as well as sticker books. For those looking to purchase BTS’ The Fact BTS Photobook Special Edition (S$50), you can do so at this pop-up store.
SEVENTEEN’s fans can also purchase the Photocard Set & Album and receive a polaroid photo featuring a few of the SEVENTEEN members.
Other than apparel and stationery, the pop-up store also offers homeware like plates, mugs, towels, and home slippers, as well as plush toys, figurines, and accessories such as jewellery, bags, and hats.
Selfie studio
To commemorate your visit to the pop-up store, consider taking a SOOPY-themed photo in the in-house selfie studio! You can choose from two designs, and it costs S$10 for 10 shots per session or a two-minute photoshoot. You will get to keep a single copy of the 4R photo print.
If you’d like an additional photo print, it will come at a cost of S$5. However, if you spend a minimum of S$100 at the pop-up store (which we think is definitely possible), you’ll be entitled to a complimentary additional single 4R photo print, along with access to the full digital copies.
Safe management measures
In order to ensure that there is sufficient safe distancing between guests, only a limited number of people will be allowed in the store at one time.
Once you’ve arrived at the pop-up store, scan the QR code available to join the virtual queue. Each registration will only admit one guest.
You will receive an SMS notification once it is your turn to enter the store, and you would need to be at the entrance within 10 minutes of receiving the notification. Otherwise, your admission cannot be guaranteed.
Overall, it was a great experience looking through the pop-up store, and it is definitely considered a paradise for fans of BTS and SEVENTEEN. Come on down whenever you’re free and experience nature with SOOPY and your favourite idols!
The In the SOOP pop-up store is located at 3 Temasek Boulevard, #01-476/482, Suntec City, North Wing, Singapore 038983. It will be available from 11 February to 8 May 2022, and it is open daily from 10am to 10pm.
