Singer, songwriter, and model, is there anything that the stunning Dua Lipa can’t do? Recently, the Don’t Start Now singer surprised fans with a new drop on her Instagram, announcing her first-ever capsule collection with Puma.
The singer had first joined Puma back in 2020 when she became the new face for their womenswear line, and was the model for Puma’s new sneaker, the Mayze sneaker, which has a classic stacked sole that makes it a very versatile shoe that can be paired with virtually any outfit. Now, Dua Lipa is unveiling her own collection with the global sportswear and lifestyle brand, which will drop globally on Saturday, 18 December 2021.
The limited-edition capsule collection is titled “Flutur” and features four pieces as a sneak peak of the full collection, which will be released in 2022. The collection consists of ’90s fashion inspired apparel and footwear, and each of the pieces will feature a new iridescent butterfly logo, which is the symbol for Lipa’s collaboration with Puma.
The butterfly is very symbolic and meaningful to the model, and has a lot of personal meaning. The name of the collection, “Flutur”, also has special meaning to her, as it is the Albanian word for butterfly, paying homage to her heritage while celebrating this new collection and beginning with Puma.
The capsule collection consists of a black oversized hoodie, black and white baby tees, and the star of the collection – Lipa’s own “Flutur” version of the Puma Mayze sneaker that she modelled.
She has reimagined the sneakers for the collection and the black sneakers with a stacked midsole feature the pop star’s new signature iridescent butterfly logo on the tongue and insole of the logo, and comes with two lace options.
