8 things to do with your loved ones this February!

1. Dahlia Dreams – Flower Dome

This CNY season, ring in an ox-picious new year at Dahlia Dreams, Flower Dome. Featuring auspicious elements and symbols, you can stroll through a field of about 1,400 pretty dahlias of mixed varieties, all grown in-house for the very first time alongside a host of CNY floral favourites such as azaleas, chrysanthemums and cymbidiums.

Some highlights of the gorgeous floral display include a Lantern Globe, where you can walk through the golden moon gates and admire more than 200 red lanterns from within the lantern globe; and the traditional CNY festivities, the lion dance.

Catch Dahlia Dreams from now until 21 February 2021! Tickets to the Flower Dome are priced at S$10 for local residents, S$5 for seniors and children aged 3-12 years, and S$20 for non-residents.

2. Once Upon A Time on The Orient Express – West Lawn

Revel in the marvel of the Orient Express and embark on the same fascinating journey the travellers did more than a century ago!

Spanning over 2000sqm, Once Upon A Time on The Orient Express features two original train carriages, classified as National Treasures of France and a 158-year-old locomotive shipped from France to Singapore, along with 300 precious items such as uniforms, shields, a pullman car, affiches, Louis Vuitton original luggage, priceless porcelain, and more.

While you’re there, you can also check out the exclusive Orient Express shop, Orient Express road cafe, Orient Express restaurant and lounge and escape room experience.

3. Star Wars Identities – Art Science Museum

Calling all who is one with The Force — The Star Wars Identities Exhibition will be making its last pit stop at the Art Science Museum this month!

Get up close and personal with original movie props, artworks, costumes and models of the famed starships, the Millennium Falcon and the Star Destroyer, and even create your unique Star Wars™ character in this interactive exhibition.

For the film geeks, you can look forward to early concept drawings, storyboarding, model making, through puppetry and costume designs and learn about the creative process of making the most legendary galactic adventure trilogy in cinema history!

Tickets to Star Wars Identities are priced at S$25 for adults, and S$20 for seniors, students, children aged 2 – 12 years and person with disabilities (PWD). The exhibition runs from now until 13 June, but tickets for February are already selling fast!

5. Aqua gastronomy (Spring Edition) – S.E.A Aquarium

6. Changi Run 2021

Organised by Changi General Hospital (CGH), this year’s Changi Run 2021 is themed “We Dare to Care”, with the aim to raise funds and awareness for CGH’s needy patients, who are supported by HomeCare Assist, the CGH Health Fund’s patient welfare programme.

Run for a cause at your own time and schedule, and all net proceeds will be donated to HomeCare Assist, which provides interim assistance to needy patients after their discharge, ensuring that they receive the necessary medical care and services to continue with their recovery at home.

The Changi Run 2021 is happening from now to 31 March 2021. Registration closes 12 March 2021, and is priced at S$35 for the 10 km (Individual), S$50 for the 50 km (Individual), and S$130 for the 50 km (Group of 3-5 pax).

7. Chinatown Chinese New Year Celebrations

While the usual Chinese New Year gatherings at Chinatown have moved online for everyone’s safety, you can still bask in the street light-up at Chinatown from now until 12 March 2021.

This year’s contemporary street light-up will feature sculptured lanterns of the Ox, gold coins, golden ingots, flowers and greetings that combine traditions with modern design!

Get your cameras ready for the lights which will come on from 7pm to 12mn daily along New Bridge Road, Eu Tong Sen Street and South Bridge Road.

8. Chingay Parade

As with most large-scale events, the Chingay Parade is set to go digital this year too. Featuring its the usual colourful costumes, incredible floats and live performances, you can now enjoy the splendor and wonder of the performance live from the comfort of your home for the very first time.
