Singapore’s first “ice hotel” experience will open its door on 3 November

We may not have the chance to visit ice hotels in Nordic countries like Finland, Norway, or Sweden this year, but the latest permanent exhibit by Snow City may let us experience something close enough.

Snow City’s “Singapore’s first ice hotel gallery experience”, a term that’s certified by Singapore Book of Records, will replace the Arctic Snow Playground that it previously had. This new highlight features sculptures and furniture that are entirely carved out of ice.

These are set in a frosty -5 degrees Celsius environment and you can lounge at the Ice Bar that’s furnished with chairs, couches and tables made from blocks of ice, while admiring the intricate ice sculptures carved by local award-winning artisan Jeffrey Ng. These sculptures depict scenes with animals, flora, and fauna. In other words, you can be sure to get lots of unique photo opportunities.

Entry to the Ice Hotel Gallery experience is available from S$17 and it includes access to the rest of Snow City’s features such as Snow Field and Arctic Snow Slide.

For a more exciting day out, you can even consider going for an additional session at the target shooting gallery, a battle in a sub-zero shooting arena, or an ice bumper car ride.

Tickets for Ice Hotel Gallery will be available from 3 November 2021 on the Snow City website and Klook. Bundle deals and discounts are available.
