You’ll always have something to do after work hours this November. From great entertainment acts to food events, here’s a line-up of activities we’ve curated that we know you’re going to enjoy.

1. Global K-POP Festival, KAMP

Attention K-pop fanatics, an exciting event is coming soon, and you’d want to be there! The inaugural KAMP Singapore 2019 is the first stop for KAMP – a tour that’s set to make appearances in the US, Europe and the Middle East too. The two-day event will be filled with state-of-the-art effects, red carpet events, and chances for you to closely interact with your favourite artists.

Renowned names in the K-pop scene such as NCT 127, GFRIEND, Super Junior, WJSN, Momoland, Stray Kids, and more acts will make appearances and take the stage throughout the two days. Excited yet?

2. French Film Festival

Singapore’s longest-running foreign film festival, French Film Festival, is back this year. The festival, which is part of the Voilah! France Singapore Festival, will feature a lineup of 27 films for you to binge on. There are lighthearted classics, and there are newer films that will get you thinking about current issues ranging from feminism to identity. Genres range from comedy, romance, drama and a newly introduced sexy section. Some of the titles you’ll see – Made in China, Love At Second Sight, Sybil, Things To Come.

This year, the film festival will also include animations and documentaries, which can be viewed at community clubs too. One exciting film the little ones will look forward to is Ballerina, which features Elle Fanning.

3. Neon Lights

The highly-anticipated premier outdoor music and arts festival is back once again. The 2019 edition sees crowd and music-industry favourites Mumford & Sons as well as Grammy-nominee Halsey. Other acts include British electronic-soul act HONNE, Fleetmac Wood, Nick Murphy, as well as local funk band MMLD. You can also look forward to gourmet food and drinks at the event.

4. Singapore International Film Festival

The annual Singapore International Film Festival, the city’s longest-running film fest, celebrates local and regional filmmakers. The event will be held across multiple venues and besides movie screenings, you can expect masterclasses, dialogues with filmmakers, and even mentorship programmes for students!

To get you hyped up for the festival, there will be a nature-inspired exhibition and an outdoor cinema – our favourite kind! While the full list of films are yet to be released, the opening film has been confirmed to be Wet Season by homegrown filmmaker Anthony Chen.

5. The Kumar Show: November 2019 Edition

Local comedian and crowd-favourite Kumar is having his stand-up nights this November! With his courage to speak up for queer issues and controversial local politics, Kumar never fails to make us laugh, especially at his outspoken opinions on local taboo topics. If you’re ready for humorous, fun nights, here’s the place to be at!

6. U2: The Joshua Tree Tour 2019 Live in Singapore

Yes, U2 is coming to Singapore!! The band will be bringing the Joshua Tree Tour to Singapore for the very first time. Expect hits like American Soul, from the Irish band’s latest album, Songs of Experience, as well as its golden hits. If you haven’t already secured tickets, you’ll want to book them ASAP – U2 is selling out shows all around Australia!

7. Singapore Biennale 2019: Every Step in the Right Direction

Back for its 13th edition is the Singapore Biennale, which was established in 2006. It stands as our country’s platform for dialogue in contemporary art. Presenting artistic practices in Singapore and the region in a global context, the Biennale has a four-month exhibition that celebrates the art and culture – with artist and curator talks and tours, school visits and workshops, and community days. Of course, you can expect intriguing galleries and presentations. This is a must-visit for the art and culture-lovers.

8. Affordable Art Fair Singapore 2019

This year’s Affordable Art Fair Singapore brings you a wide range of contemporary art, priced below SGD15,000 with 75% of the art being offered at less than SG7,500!

The Affordable Art Fair 2019 will offer a fresh plethora of local, regional, and international talents, presenting over 80 galleries. It also gives new and established art enthusiasts and collectors hands-on advice to best pursue this passion!

The night market concept from Bangkok that’s always a hit with the local crowd, is back for its 2019 edition! The first and biggest creative pop-up market will bring back an extensive range of food and beverage options, craft workshops, fashion retailers, entertainment, and more. Some F&B favourites you can prepare to feast on – Beef Bro, Gryphon Tea & Co., and Dum Dum Thai Drinks.

For the hipsters and Instagram-gen: Expect loads of Instagram-worthy spots this year, such as a three-storey entrance container that is said to be gorgeous.

2. Brewski Beer Bash

3. Cheese & Wine Night

There’s no perfect pairing like cheese and wine. This November, The Cheese Shop will be hosting a cheese and wine pairing – prepared by The Cheese Shop’s Wine Guy, Andrew Manktelow. One thing you can expect? The seasonal Vacherin Mont D’or that’s melty and gooey, and cheesy perfection.

You can also try any of the cheeses at the shop’s display, which also happens to be the widest selection in Singapore. Alongside the wines and cheeses, you will also be given cold cuts, crackers, and anything that’ll complement the cheeses.

4. Singapore Dutch Pancake Night at 79 After Dark

The Dutch Pancake Night is a pop-up event that was started by a student over 10 years ago, and has since grown out to a movement with 500 events in more than 60 countries – Tokyo, Rome, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Tanzania to name a few.

The event held at 79 After Dark, an Indian-Asian Restaurant and Bar, brings together people who want to hang out and mingle over free dutch pancakes, in a casual setting. The organiser, Robin, will bring enough ingredients for everyone. You can bring along extra toppings if you’d like, but take note that outside food and drinks are not allowed!

5. Ribfest 2019 by Morganfield’s Singapore

1. FREE Workout at UE Bizhub EAST & Viva Business Park

Every Monday and Wednesday throughout the month of November, there will be a free workout at UE Bizhub East and Viva Business Park. The initiative by Health Promotion Board brings a different fitness theme each time, depending on the day and location; for instance Monday’s theme at UE Bizhub East is ‘Bounce DanceFit’ and Wednesday is ‘Zumba’. Sessions are themed ‘Fight Go’ at Viva Business Park, held on Wednesdays. The workout sessions are free, so there’s no excuse for you not to join!
