Chinese New Year is all about creating memories and spend quality time with your loved ones, and that doesn’t always have to involve going out. Sometimes, a TV show (or two) and some snacks are all you need to have a merry time with your family.

1. Dracula (Season 1)

The creators of BBC Sherlock, Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, teamed up once again to adapt Bram Stoker’s classic novel Dracula into a three-episode series of the same name. Starring Claes Bang as Count Dracula, the miniseries tells the stories of the many battles between Count Dracula and his archenemy Van Helsing, here reimagined as a nun called Sister Agatha.

Steeped in blood, mystery and horror, the miniseries is a must-see for fans of the original novel and the gothic horror genre alike.

2. The Witcher (Season 1)

Fans of shows set in the medieval era can’t miss The Witcher, a Netflix original series based on the fantasy book series of the same name by Andrzej Sapkowski. The first season follows mutated monster hunter Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) as he encounters sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra), and Cintran princess Ciri (Freya Allan) for the first time to find their destinies intertwined.

3. Anne with an E (Season 3)

The third and final season of Anne with an E, an adaptation of children’s classic Anne of Green Gables, has recently been released on Netflix. The coming-of-age series follows Anne, a lively and talkative orphan girl adopted by brother and sister Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert to live with them on their beautiful ancestral farm called Green Gables on Prince Edward Island, Canada. The third season focuses on Anne’s journey as she approaches adulthood and must learn to make decisions about her future.

The relationship between Anne and the Cuttbert, beautiful period set pieces and breathtaking scenery are among the many reasons you would not want to miss this heartwarming coming-of-age story.

The first half of season 4 of the animated science fiction sitcom Rick and Morty is now available for streaming on Netflix. The series follows the adventures of alcoholic mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his grandson through different universes and dimensions. Even though it is animated, the show is definitely geared towards adults with its many scientific references and jokes as well as philosophical commentary, which are both hilarious and thought-provoking.

Keep your eyes peeled for the remaining five episodes of season 4, which are expected to come out some time later this year.

Netflix has been spoiling fans of K-dramas with a slew of popular releases, and Crash Landing On You is among the latest additions. The series follows South Korean heiress Yoon Se-ri, who has to make an emergency landing while paragliding in North Korea, and high-ranking North Korean officer Ri Jung-hyuk, who tries to hide her.

9. Reply 1988
