The red carpet premiere took place on 11 August at Shaw Theatres Lido, featuring the much-anticipated film in Japanese audio with bilingual subtitles in English and Simplified Chinese. Making the event even more special, Takahiro Sakurai, the voice behind Water Hashira Giyu Tomioka, was in attendance to greet fans.

Speaking ahead of the premiere, Sakurai reflected on the complexities of portraying Giyu over the years, noting that the greatest challenge was portraying the character’s shift from being initially very cold to becoming slightly more emotional. He explained that he needed to capture this transition authentically so that the audience could feel Giyu’s growth.

From now to 28 August, fans can immerse themselves in the surreal world of the Infinity Castle at Shaw Urban Plaza. The installation recreates the anime’s signature gravity-defying aesthetic: with shoji windows, fusuma sliding doors, and white walls suspended at impossible angles.
