26 December holiday camps that you can register for your kids for a meaningful and fun-filled holiday

Now that the December holidays are approaching, many of us might be wondering what we can plan for our kids so that they can spend this time meaningfully.

And while most kids would want to just spend their holidays catching up on rest and playing games at home, it’s always a good time for them to also join in on holiday camps so that they get to mingle with those their age and make new memories.

Here are 26 December holiday camps that are specially curated to ensure that your kids have a wonderful time learning.

Holiday sports camps

1. Kids Camp Singapore (Ages 3 – 18)

Learn new things and explore fun adventures with Kids Camp Singapore! Kids will be treated to a myriad of activities, including archery, rope pulling, sack run, treasure hunt, and dodgeball. These are activities that your kids won’t probably be exposed to in the usual school curriculum, so it’s a good way for them to explore other types of sports.

The activities will mostly be conducted outdoors in Fort Canning Park. In the case of rain, camp instructors will move the kids into a sheltered area to resume their activities.

A typical day will have three main activities, and will run from 9am to 3pm. This duration is inclusive of a morning break and a lunch break. 2. SG United Soccer (Ages 5 – 18+)

SG United Soccer is a camp that focuses on providing campers with soccer knowledge and tips, as well as invaluable skills that are required when they’re out on the field. These skills include communication, teamwork and decision making. Rest assured that this camp is managed by experts and professional coaches, so your kids will be in good hands.

Children who sign up for the camp will receive a jersey with their name printed on the back, just like the soccer players your kids see on television.

Camps at SG United Soccer run for five days, from 9am to 12pm daily. The school holiday camp will begin on 22 November and the last holiday camp will be on 27 December. 3. Sports Camp Singapore (Ages 3 -16)

If your kids love to engage in all types of sports, Sports Camp Singapore will be perfect for them this school holiday. Depending on their age, they can be exposed up to ten sports, allowing them to just have fun, and maybe even develop a strong interest in one of them for them to pursue further as a co-curricular activity in school.

The campsite is located at 220 Turf Club Road, The Cage Sports Park, Singapore 288001. Since the entire area is sheltered, you wouldn’t have to worry that your kids will be caught in the rain. This also means that the camp will go on regardless of the weather.

The Teddy Sports Club is suitable for kids aged three to five. The five-day camp starts at 9am and will end at 12pm. This camp package costs S$375.

The Multi Sport camp is available for kids aged six to 11. The five-day camp starts at 9am and will end at 3pm. This camp package costs S$495.

The Teen Zone camp is for those aged 12 to 16. The five-day camp starts at 1pm and will end at 4pm. This camp package costs S$295.

4. Cosmo United Football Academy (Ages 4 – 13)

Here’s another camp for budding footballers looking to make friends with others who have the same interest and to learn more about the sport.

Cosmo United Football Academy offers campers the chance to learn football from professional coaches and experienced players. Campers will also learn the meaning of teamwork while having fun, along with other essential skills like problem solving and communication.

The camp runs for five days a week, from 8.30am to 12pm daily. Members of the club can enjoy a discount on camp packages, paying only S$425 per child, while non-members pay S$475 each. 5. Hollandse Club (Ages 3 – 13+)

There are six different camps you can sign your kids up for at Hollandse Club. These include a Multi-Activity Camp, Soccer Camp, Mighty Combo Karate-Fencing Camp, Junior Hockey Camp, Ultimate Multi-Sports Saturdays, and Skateboarding Camp.

Don’t worry if you’re not a member, because they offer a short-term membership for just two months. No deposit or joining fee is required and you get full access to all facilities, lessons, classes and holiday camps. 6. The Yard (Ages 3 – 11)

Those who are more interested in gymnastics would be thrilled to find out that The Yard provides camps centred around it. The Gymnastics Camp is designed for all gymnastics enthusiasts, regardless of whether you’re a beginner or a recreational pro.

This five-day camp, which takes place from 9am to 12pm daily, will help your kids build strength and confidence across all acrobatic apparatus. They will also be grouped together with peers of various ages, which will allow them to learn from one another and have fun together.

7. PRODIGY Camps by ProActiv Sports (Ages 4 – 12)

PRODIGY Camps by ProActiv Sports offers holiday camps with different themes that we’re sure are going to be a hit amongst the kids. Some of them include Olympics Superstar, Ninja Warrior, Superheroes and The Greatest Showman.

Kids will have a blast engaging in the activities prepared in the itinerary. The camps are full-day camps, so kids will definitely have a chance to experience more than just a few types of sports. They will be exposed to gymnastics, rock climbing, martial arts, various ball games, and even team-building games. All activities will be conducted in an air-conditioned indoor venue, so there is no need to worry about the weather.

8. WondersWork (Ages 5 – 14)

WondersWork offers kids the chance to let their creative minds be ignited through hands-on workshops in a fun learning environment where campers are encouraged to explore and invent their own work.

There are three holiday camps to choose from: Among Us All Ultimate Lego Robotics Coding Technology STEAM School Holiday Winter Camp, Among Us All Ultimate Scratch Coding STEAM School Holiday Winter Camp, and Space Commanders Lego Robotics Coding STEAM School Holiday Winter Camp.

Each camp will allow campers to get hands-on experiences with coding and picking up the different Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics (STEAM) principles.

9. Newtonshow Science Camps (Aged 3 – 11)

Newtonshow is the most established holiday camp in Singapore, and this year, it has a Christmas Camp that runs from 22 November 2021 to 7 January 2022. Since they have outlets in the central, east, and west regions, you’re bound to find a campsite convenient and close to home.

There are three holiday programmes that they are offering: Multi Science for budding detectives, Harry Potter for fans looking to learn about alchemy, and Chemical Chaos for those looking to learn about chemistry.

The five-day camp package costs S$630 and comes with one lunch meal and two snacks per day. The package also provides campers all materials, a T-shirt, mask, certificate, and a Newtonshow magazine. 10. Coding Lab (Ages 4 – 18)

11. Maker SG (Ages 5 -13)

Another coding holiday camp you can consider is the one offered by Maker SG. There are currently two programmes being offered: Alice in MakerLand and I am Maker.

Kids get to explore the Seven Wonders of the World, create their own traffic lights, investigate a hydraulic excavation, as well as play with a solar-powered city and tram. Kids can also make a light-up card, musical box, and a sundial machine when they sign up for the Alice in MakerLand programme.

12. Logiscool (Ages 6 – 18)

Logiscool offers coding programmes as well as robotics camps for kids to create their own computer games or learn how machines think so that they can programme them. Kids will be exposed to real life challenges and innovate ways to solve them using the various tools they learn during the camp.

You can also sign your kid up for the Minecraft camp where they will get the chance to act as developers and designers of the blocky realm, and improve their logical thinking and design skills along the way.

13. The Music Scientist (Ages 3 – 8)

The Music Scientist specialises in designing a medley of activities to complement Music and Science. Learn about the different types of meat, the human body and its systems, food nutrition, and even space and the universe with the differently themed holiday camps.

14. ARTHaus (Ages 5 – 16)

ARThaus focuses on catering to the creative part of your child’s mind. The holiday programmes offered are based on Fine Arts, where kids will get to draw and paint using different mediums, like oil or acrylic paintings, sketching, charcoal, chalk pastel, and pencil.

If your child is more of a theatre person, you can consider signing them up for a holiday camp with Centre Stage. Centre Stage offers programmes that revolve around drama, music, movement, and arts and crafts. The five-day camp will be packed with imagination-stretching activities conducted by teachers and guest workshop instructors who have rich performing arts backgrounds.

Duxton Playground has three specially curated camps for those aged between four to 12. Impressions Art Studio is another company that organises camps based on themes, and these themed art camps will encourage your child to express themselves through creative experiences.

Have a magical week by entering the School of Wizarding World, explore the greenery and adorable animals with The Wonders of Nature, dig through the ground and look for lost treasures with Archeology and Lost Treasures, or simply bask in the Christmas spirit with the Christmas Winter Wonderland Edition or Christmas Season of Gift Edition.

Holiday nature camps

18. The Open Centre (Ages 6 – 12)

The Mindful Camp by The Open Centre provides kids a healthy dose of mindfulness, arts, nature, and play with its activities planned.

Kids get to go on a field trip to explore nature, care for garden greens, do yoga, go horse-riding, and even get up close with farm animals like chickens. There will be lots of opportunities for kids to engage in social-emotional learning and connect with nature and new friends of similar ages. This will be a good way for them to take a healthy and memorable break away from academics and screens.

19. Bukit Timah Saddle Club (Ages 6 – 12)

Bukit Timah Saddle Club offers a Pony Camp where kids will get to try their hands at riding a horse or a pony. This would be a fun and exciting experience for kids especially since they are usually not exposed to such experiences.

The pony camp runs for three days, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 10am to 3pm. As this programme might be a little more dangerous, the minimum age for this programme is six years old.

Holiday language camps

20. British Council Singapore (Ages 4 – 15)

Other than just playing, the holidays is also a good time for kids to catch up on subjects that they may not do very well in. This is often because they don’t have an interest in the subjects. Those who would like their kids to improve in English would be delighted to know that the British Council Singapore has study camps where they provide extra support in English language to children aged four to 15.

The study camps are offered on a weekly basis, and are designed to help students develop their vocabulary on various topics, gain confidence in communicating in English, develop their world knowledge and intellectual curiosity, as well as improve their critical thinking and problem solving skills.

The programmes will engage the kids in various activities to ignite their interest in English, and encourage them to learn more.

The minimum sign up is for one week of study camp, and you can register as many weeks of camp as you would like. Of course, the more weeks you sign up, the more economical it becomes. Simply fill in the online form here and wait for an email from British Council’s Course Consultant. A one-week programme costs S$736, and comes with materials and a certificate. 21. Lorna Whiston (Ages 3 – 14)

Lorna Whiston offers online English Explorer and Creative Writing camps for your kids to improve their English in an environment that is not as stressful as school. Their core values revolve around celebrating each child to provide the most nurturing experience. They believe by doing so, kids will feel supported and be able to develop their own personalities and grow holistically.

The English Explorer camp is a good way for kids to learn more about the English language as it not only involves English reading and writing activities. It also captures the attention of kids by using drama and art. This workshop aims to teach kids how to become better communicators, and they’ll even be given the chance to sharpen their speaking and presentation skills.

Looking to pick up a new language? How about trying out French with Alliance Francaise? Dubbed the most ideal programme for children to explore the French language, kids can expect to participate in workshops and activities in a fun and educational way.

They will also get to make strawberry push pop cakes, participate in a sack race, engage in activities to enhance their social skills, and go on an excursion to the trampoline park for some physical exercise.
