#BuySingLit 2020: Are you ready for the first local literary event of this decade?

#BuySingLit 2020, organised by Singapore Book Council in collaboration with various publishers, bookstores and organisations in Singapore, will be back for its fourth installment to continue promoting and celebrating local literature.

For two weekends in March, you will find a series of exciting events including music performances, workshops and book fairs to satisfy your bookworm’s soul. This year, instead of hosting its events at familiar locations, #BuySingLit will bring you to iconic venues away from the city center such as Jewel and the revamped Pasir Panjang Power Station.

Here are the most notable programmes that you won’t want to miss out on!

SingLit Power House

One of the two main venues of #BuySingLit, the historic Pasir Panjang Power Station will host SingLit Power House for two nights 6 and 7 March 2020.

Activities featured include the live-performance-meet-film Glorious, Monstrous, Hantu Tales as well as the artistic collaboration Modern Resonance ll by sound artist Li-Chuan Chong, spoken word poet Deborah Emmanuel and visual artist Alecia Neo.

Singapore Malay Book Fair 2020

Explore the world of books in our national language at the Singapore Malay Book Fair. Taking place over three days, the book fair will feature Malay books in many genres, for adults and children alike.

SingLit Comics Den

Comic fans rejoice! The SingLit Comics Den is a pop-up gallery and bookstore dedicated to Singaporean comic books. Here you can find everything from old classics to new releases in the local comic world.

The pop-up also features a comic artwork exhibition, creative workshops, live drawing sessions suitable for all ages and genders!

The Suspense is Killing Me — Art of Horror Fiction Writing
