Set within the lush grounds of the Singapore Botanic Gardens, Wildseed Café’s newest outlet at The Garage feels like a natural evolution for the brand. Surrounded by greenery at a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this fourth outpost blends the café’s familiar crowd-pleasers with a renewed focus on wellness, local flavours and unhurried dining; making it an easy stopover for families, friends and even furkids after a stroll through the Gardens.
Designed as a seamless extension of its surroundings, the space features open seating and a calming green wall, encouraging diners to slow down and linger. Whether you’re dropping by for brunch, settling in for dinner, or picking up a picnic basket for the lawns, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, true to Wildseed Café’s communal spirit.
Familiar Comforts with a Local Twist
Wildseed Café has always been known for its approachable, well-executed menu, and the outlet at The Garage continues that tradition while leaning into local flavours.

We began with the Chicken Satay, a satisfying opener that hits all the right notes. The smoky, tender skewers are paired with a rich, fragrant peanut sauce that makes it dangerously easy to keep reaching for “just one more”.

For pasta lovers, the Soft Shell Chilli Crab Linguine offers a playful nod to a Singapore classic. The sauce strikes a balance between sweet and spicy, coating the pasta generously, while the crispy soft shell crab adds textural contrast and indulgence to every bite. Do note that this comes with a significant spicy kick!

Another standout from the savoury selection is the Kelong Prawn & Scallop Pizza. Topped with juicy seafood, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, mascarpone and pesto, the pizza delivers fresh, coastal flavours without feeling heavy. It’s creamy yet balanced, and ideal for sharing – though you may be tempted not to.

If there is one dish not to miss, it is the Seabass Assam Pedas, which was easily our favourite of the meal. Braised to order, the seabass is perfectly cooked, flaky and tender, soaking up the bright, tangy assam sauce infused with lemongrass and layered spices.
The dish is comforting without being overwhelming, striking a thoughtful balance between acidity, spice and freshness. Served with lady’s fingers and garden-inspired botanicals, it feels both hearty and refined; the kind of dish that lingers in your memory long after the meal ends.
Another hot favourite is the Beef Cheek Rendang is slow-braised overnight until fork-tender, resulting in meat that practically melts at the touch. The aromatic spice paste is rich yet restrained, allowing the natural flavours of the beef to shine. Paired with butterfly pea flower-infused rice and a refreshing achar, it’s a deeply comforting dish that showcases familiar local flavours done well.
Dessert comes in the form of Wildseed Café’s signature petite cakes, designed for sharing or simply indulging in a little something sweet.

The Black Sesame Petite Cake is nutty and fragrant, with a gentle sweetness that doesn’t overpower, while the Cocoa Petite Cake is a reliable crowd-pleaser for chocolate lovers; it’s rich without being cloying, and just the right size to round off the meal.
The new Wildseed Cafe outlet is located at 50 Cluny Park Road, Level 1, Singapore Botanic Gardens, Singapore 257488. It is open daily from 7.30am to 10pm.
