Those of you who have been following the latest fashion news would have known that luxury fashion house Valentino recently dropped its Spring/Summer 2022 Rendez-Vous Collection in Paris. The collection focuses on a change of perspective where high-end fashion is turned to streetwear and the fashion is enhanced by the unique personality of the wearer. Imperfections that exist in our day-to-day lives are celebrated instead of being kept hidden, allowing us to embrace life’s authenticity through this collection.
In celebration of the new launch, Valentino has joined hands with local French bistro Merci Marcel to host a pop-up café that will enable fans to toast to the new collection and enjoy a hearty meal designed by the luxury fashion house.

The pop-up is located at the Club Street outlet of Merci Marcel which offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. The cosy space is decorated in blue velvet and rattan accents, and it is perfect for fans to have an intimate session with their loved ones as they discuss the latest collection over food.
Take a seat on one of the cosy, velvety couches and take a look at the mouthwatering selection of dishes available for you to choose from!
Start the meal off with some homemade flatbread topped with Eggplant Caviar, mozzarella di bufala, and some sweet-and-spicy tomato chutney. The flavours blend very well together, and it’s certainly a great way to whet your appetite before you continue with the indulgent meal.
If you prefer trying something different, you can also opt for the Grilled Asparagus or Crab Rillette for starters instead.
For mains, you have a choice of Tarte Flambee which features a thin crust pizza garnished with goat cheese, kale, shallots, and sunflower seeds, Beef Tenderloin Carpaccio which features thinly sliced raw beef, tomato, rocket leaves, and aged parmesan atop rustic bread, or the Red Snapper that comes coated in seasoned flour and served alongside pan seared cauliflower and mixed greens.
Everything sounds really good, but they look and taste even better!
Next up, you’ll get a serving of the Marcel Cheeses to Share, a sharing cheese platter with a selection of delicious cheeses and a bag of sliced baguettes for you to cleanse your palate before moving on to the last dish of the day.
Conclude the meal on a sweet note with a selection of three equally decadent desserts – Crème Brûlée, Mousse Chocolat, or Lemon Pie. The Lemon Pie comes deconstructed with a perfectly toasted side of homemade soft meringue. The plating instantly makes the dessert look more aesthetic and sinful, making it a feast not just for the tummy, but also the eyes!
For drinks, you can choose to either have a cup of coffee or tea to go with your dishes.
