Nestled within the OUE Tower, the restaurant gives you a waterfront view of Marina Bay as you enjoy artisanal sakes and Japanese-style charcoal-grilled delicacies.

Fans of sake should definitely head down to sample and enjoy their over 30 sake labels, which were all specially curated and air-flown from major prefectures in Japan.

Try their Sake Tea (S$18+), one of their house cocktails, made with sake, green tea leaves, yuzu, and lime juice.

Another sake must-try is their Sake Flight (S$20++), which is a trio of sakes that are perfect for sake lovers and beginners alike to savour the delicious taste of sake.

Other than artisanal sakes, Ushio also offers tantalising Japanese food on the menu which often follows various unique themes as it is subject to seasonal changes and the availability of the ingredients.

There’s also a section on the menu called “A Greenery Escapade” where you’ll find some delicious vegetarian and vegan options like the Tamanegi Salad (S$13) and the Impossible meat-based Toban Impossible Okonomiyaki (S$25).

For seafood lovers, Ushio’s Grilled Octopus (S$33) served with wasabi salsa and sweet miso and their Assorted Sashimi (S$35) are not to be missed.

The Assorted Sashimi includes eight pieces of sashimi, which are the maguro (tuna), sake (salmon), hamachi (yellowtail), and hotate (scallop).

Other must-try menu items include the scrumptious Wagyu Croquette (S$15), a delicious breaded charred wagyu, cheese, and potato cream croquette, and the Tori Yaki Sando (S$12), a charcoal-grilled black sugar teriyaki chicken served with Emmental cheese, mizuna slaw, and homemade pickles sandwiched between mini miso honey toast.
