It’s not easy to find affordable and good food at Jewel Changi Airport, much less affordable three-course set meals.
Doing the math in your head based on previous experiences would tell you that a meal like that would set you back at least S$50.
However, you’ll be surprised that there is actually a Latin-American restaurant in Jewel that offers set lunches at an insanely good price – from just S$15.90++ for a two-course meal and S$17.90++ for three courses!
Plus, you’ll get to enjoy your food al fresco – something that you can’t find in many restaurants on our sunny island.
Soak in the sights and sounds of the majestic waterfall as you dig into your meal – it’s pure bliss if you ask us!
Oh, did we also mention that it’s the perfect place to snap tons of aesthetic shots for the ‘gram?
The restaurant in question? It’s TONITO Latin American Kitchen and they offer both two-course (S$15.90++) and three-course (S$17.90++) set lunches.
First, you get to choose between two types of tapas.
The first is a Mexican taquito, which consists of a crispy corn tortilla, salsa, guacamole, bean, and your choice of meat. You can opt for pork, chicken, or beef.
The second type of tapas is a ceviche and you would need to top up an additional S$8 to enjoy it. This is marinated mix seafood with crispy tortilla, onion salsa, and tomato leche.
Next, you’ll get to choose a main course from a selection of four choices.
You can order the Arroz Con Mariscos, which has crispy mix seafood, Latino-style rice, onion salsa, and tartar sauce.
If you prefer pasta, you can go for the Pasta de Pollo which has pomodoro sauce pasta topped with grilled chicken and crispy quinoa.
There’s also the Pescado a la Plancha, which boasts a pan-seared barramundi with a side of potato puree and a dash of caper butter sauce.
Lastly, you can go for the Bandeja Paisa, which stars crispy pork belly, patacones, guacamole, a sunny side up, and smoked chilli mayo.
If you go for the three-course set lunch, you can enjoy a lovely dessert, which is the Tres Leche.
This is a spiced chocolate cake topped with whipped cream, berries, and candied pistachio.
While the set lunch doesn’t come with a drink, you can order one from the menu.
There is an assortment of tea and coffee that you can choose from for S$4++ each. If you would like to drink it cold, it would be S$5++ instead.
Other beverages include a homemade lemon tea (S$4++), fruit punch (S$5++), and cranberry spritzer (S$5++).
Menu of the month
Every month, the chef at TONITO Latin American Kitchen comes up with a special menu that will be served for the entirety of the month.
For the month of December, the chef has prepared a pasta menu called Fideua Fiesta, and the main courses on this menu are served daily.
You can opt for the Fideua A La Marinera (S$28++) which features mixed seafood and fideua pasta cooked in a squid ink base.
Alternatively, the Fideua de Verduras (S$28++) offers crispy tempura vegetable and fideua pasta cooked in a mushroom base.
For those who prefer a classic tomato base, you can choose to indulge in the Fideua de Cerdo (S$28++) which has fideua pasta with a side of slow cooked iberico pork.
TONITO Latin American Kitchen is also the place to go if you would like to unwind after work and enjoy a couple of drinks with your colleagues or friends.
You can get two glasses of beer or wine for S$16++, or two classes of cocktails for S$18++ – have them both on your own or share them with a friend!
They also offer sangria in carafes for sharing at just S$40++.
Either sit on the high chairs and enjoy the waterfall view as you drink, or sit back and relax in the other side of the restaurant for a more cosy and intimate ambience.
