Here’s a month-long campaign for beef- and lamb-lovers to truly enjoy their favourite food

The Great Steak Escape: Family Edition is happening from now till 30 June, and during this period quality Australian beef and lamb will be highlighted across several restaurants in Singapore.

In case you didn’t know, Australia is well-known for its meat and livestock industry, producing some of the best quality red meats in the world.

Besides treating yourself to a feast, you’ll also stand a chance to win prizes worth over S$1,800 with the Steak & Win contest!

Steak Away

The June holidays is a perfect timing for a family staycation. Not just a normal staycation though; one where you can stay in a deluxe room with complimentary breakfast and enjoy a three-course steak lunch or dinner at The Carvery (for two adults and one child).

The Steak Away Experience at Park Hotel Alexandra is priced at S$345++.

Steak-In

Prefer a home-cooked steak?

You can get quality Australian beef and lamb from selected butchers, gourmet grocers and meat retailers. There are even special family bundles available, complete with recipes designed by some of Singapore’s renowned home cooks!

Participating retailers include FairPrice, Butcher Box, Angliss Marketplace, QB Food and The Meat Club. 

Steak-Out

You can also choose to treat yourself and your family at some of Singapore’s best family-friendly restaurants. They have specially curated beef and lamb dishes that you will definitely enjoy.

Even your children will love it because each restaurant has its own kids’ menu that features beef and lamb as well.

There are a total of 10 participating outlets islandwide.

Wildseed Cafe at The Alkaff Mansion

Wildseed Cafe is a spacious and pet-friendly cafe that offers hearty meals, refreshing drinks and floral pastries. The highlight of this cafe is their conservatory area in the garden, which is a great spot to take pictures at while waiting for your food.

The highlights of their promotional menu would be the Wagyu Beef Pie (S$18++), served with roasted vegetables and potato. The crust is baked to perfection such that you can hear the crisp of the crust when you slice it! The beef inside is tender and well-seasoned, making it an absolute treat.

The Wagyu Beef Burger (S$28++), made with Australian Wagyu beef patty, is served in a generous portion. Served with curly fries and a side of garden salad, for a balanced meal. We also absolutely love how fluffy and soft the honey oat bun is, which complemented the robust taste of the beef.

As the restaurant is located near Telok Blangah Hill Park, feel free to take a stroll after you are done!

Little Farms

Little Farms specialises in all-natural and organic food and grocery, so it is the perfect dining destination to head to if you’re looking for healthy and delicious meals.

To enjoy great Australian lamb, go for the Pistachio crumbed “Roaring Forties” Lamb Rack (S$42++). The lamb doesn’t taste topo gamey, which makes it great for those who typically shy away from lamb dishes. This is served with Aussie brocollini and red wine jus.

We would also highly recommend their kids’ menu. Children will love the Bub’s Bangers & Cheesy Mash (S$16++), which features handcrafted lamb cipolatas with cheesy potato mash and onion gravy! 

If you can’t get enough of the lamb you’ve just tried, head over to their grocery store butcher’s section as the quality meats are available there too.

Barossa

Barossa Steak & Grill offers a wide selection of appetisers, small plates and mains. If you are a wine lover, you’ll love it here as they have over 100 selections of red and white wine.

Their highlights include the Sanchoku Wagyu Coulotte Steak (S$48++), served with sun-dried anchovy butter and the Mc Herd Lamb Saddle (S$48++) served with gremolata, cauliflower and pine nuts.
