Celebrate the Festival of Lights with The Great Indian Food Festival

From 9 to 23 November, the Indian Restaurants Association Singapore is celebrating Deepavali by bringing The Great Indian Food Festival closer to home through virtual events and home delivery!

Showcasing the diversity of Indian cuisine, the festival will also be promoting more than ten partnering restaurants around Little India. Read on to find out more about the event’s happenings plus the authentic Indian cuisine that can be delivered straight to your doorstep!

Gayatri Deepavali Snack Boxes

Featuring handmade classic Deepavali treats with a modern twist, these special-edition snack boxes are specially curated by Chef Milind Sovani of Gayatri. For over a decade, Chef Milind Sovani has been the face of Indian cuisine in Singapore and has even garnered a Michelin star for famed Indian restaurant, The Song of India, making him one of the most celebrated Indian chefs in the gastronomy scene.

The Festival Gift Box (S$28) houses three different varieties of handcrafted sweets for a total of nine pieces of indulgence in each box.

You’ll get Dilkush Laddoo, which is roasted whole wheat flour dessert with dry fruits and gum herb crunch; Alphonso Mango & White Chocolate Barfi, Chef Milind’s signature sweet treat using fresh Alphonso mangoes with a white chocolate twist; and Figs, Dates & Dry Fruits Barfi, a sugar-free medley of super healthy figs, fresh dates, and dry fruits.

There’s also the Deepawali Luxury Collection (S$84) if you want something a little more premium.

Each box contains five varieties of handcrafted delights with a total of 18 sweet treats and three savoury. The sweet variation of the premium box includes all three variations of the Festival Gift Box plus Kaju Katli (milk-based toasted cashew nut) as well as Macha & Pistachio Stuffed Cashew Rolls.

On the savoury side of the box, you’ll get to relish in a flavourful trio of Roasted Pepper Cashew, Roasted Almonds, and Lentil Coated Masala Peanuts.
