Step into Señor Taco’s 3,500 square foot space and you’ll be transported to a vibrant fiesta. The colourful interior channels a modernised Abuela’s house, with playful nods to iconic Mexican iconography and plenty of room to move.

The alfresco area, meanwhile, offers classic red-and-white taqueria vibes with generous outdoor seating overlooking the Clarke Quay fountain.

A Feast for the Senses

AVENUE ONE tried its newly expanded menu, which is a carnivore’s dream, featuring “hardcore flavours” and authentic Mexican dishes.

For starters, the Guacamole & Chips (S$14) is a must-try. The housemade guacamole is irresistibly moreish, perfect for sharing among friends.

For something that truly captures the essence of Mexican cuisine and makes for an impressive presentation, opt for the Aguachile Ceviche (S$24). Featuring black prawns marinated in a spicy chili-lime juice alongside refreshing slices of cucumber and red onions, this dish is complemented by crunchy tortilla chips to soak up every bit of flavour.

Of course, tacos are a highlight at any Mexican eatery, and Señor Taco doesn’t disappoint. With a variety of options including beef, pork, chicken, and even vegetarian choices like jackfruit and grilled cheese, there’s something for everyone.

For a hearty option, look no further than the Torta de Milanesa (S$24). This substantial sandwich, packed with breaded beef steak, grilled cheese, avocado, tomato, beans, and mayo, is a flavour explosion sure to satisfy any carnivorous craving.

The Birria (S$28), while not to everyone’s taste due to its lamb base, is a hit among lamb enthusiasts. Slow-cooked for 48 hours with mild Mexican chilies, this dish is served with crispy corn tortillas, mozzarella cheese, fresh chopped onions, and coriander.

To cap off your meal, indulge in the Chamoyada (S$15), a unique Mexican dessert featuring fresh mango, mango sorbet, sweet and spicy chamoy, and a sprinkle of tajin chili powder. Despite its unconventional description, one taste is all it takes to fall in love.

For those craving a classic treat, the Churros (S$14) served with Mexican chocolate dipping sauce are a sweet finale to your dining experience.

Latin Beats and Spicy Moves

But the party doesn’t stop at the plate. Señor Taco boasts Singapore’s first Mezcal Library, featuring over 200 labels and small-batch agave cocktails.

In addition to cocktails, diners can also pick from a variety of wines, spirits, and beer to suit every palate.
