Last year, when Raffles Hotel Singapore’s The Grand Lobby announced the launch of its Sakura Afternoon Tea, AVENUE ONE readers made their bookings immediately.
You’ll be happy to know that The Grand Lobby has brought back the thematic afternoon tea experience that celebrates Japan’s cherry blossom season with its 2022’s Sakura Afternoon Tea from 7 March to 15 May 2022.
Look forward to an exclusive selection of delectable savouries such as Beef Sando with Katsu Béchamel; Japanese Omelette with Ikura, a delightful combination of a classic Japanese folded omelette topped with plump salmon roe; and the Surimi Sandwich Mayo and Tobiko Egg.
The most Instagram-worthy items on the menu, however, are definitely the lavish spread of classic Japanese desserts inspired by the beauty of cherry blossoms coming into full bloom.
The prettiest ones to look forward to include a delicate Sakura Strawberry Verrine, tantalising Red Bean Sakura Ice Cream Monaka, and velvety Sakura Roll Cake,
These, along with home-baked scones, and other unique pastries, are set on a three-tier silver stand.
Pair the afternoon tea set paired perfectly with a choice of Mariage Frères tea or a Raffles custom-blended coffee.
The Sakura Afternoon Tea experience is priced at S$98++ per guest and is offered alongside the signature Classic Afternoon Tea.
It is available from 7 March to 15 May 2022, 1pm to 5pm from Monday to Thursday, and 12pm to 6pm from Friday to Sunday. Note that it will be unavailable from 11 to 17 April, during which the Easter Afternoon Tea will be offered. You’ll have to make a reservation for the Sakura Afternoon Tea experience at least a day in advance.
