Unlike the other Peranakan restaurants on this list, Charlie’s Peranakan Food is a little hawker stall at Golden Mile Food Centre that serves up hearty Peranakan dishes at very affordable prices.

We all know that Peranakan food, while delicious, doesn’t come cheap due to the amount of effort and hours required to cook it. Factor in the overheads and you’ll easily pay a minimum of S$30 to S$40 per person.

But since Charlie’s Peranakan Food is located in a hawker centre where rental fees are significantly cheaper, we get to enjoy a homely meal at pocket-friendly prices.
