In celebration of SG60, Pacific Emporium at Pan Pacific Singapore has crafted a Peranakan afternoon tea that feels like a love letter to Singapore’s heritage flavours. Available from now till 16 November 2025, the experience is helmed by Executive Sous Chef Cheah Hun Leong and Executive Pastry Chef Edina Si, whose teams have created a menu that’s equal parts nostalgia and finesse.

Here’s Our Review
The journey begins with Nyonya Bloom, a welcome drink that’s as pretty as it is refreshing: peach, passionfruit, pandan, and gula melaka combining into a fragrant, tropical lift. The mood is set for an afternoon of vibrant flavours and artful presentation.

The Mackerel Mousseline in a Charcoal Soft Bun was a personal standout; soft and airy with a smoky undertone, like a refined take on otah, with fish paste that’s smooth and delicately seasoned.
Also memorable were the Peranakan Rojak with Beetroot Pie Tee, offering a crisp shell with a tangy-sweet medley inside, and the Nyonya “Kerabu” with Baby Abalone, which brought a refreshing, briny brightness to the mix.

Among the sweet offerings, the Hazelnut Praline Puff impressed with its crisp choux shell and rich, nutty cream – indulgent without being cloying.
Those with a sweet tooth will also enjoy the Hukambi Salted Caramel Tart or the bright Passion Fruit Pistachio Bar, but it’s the balance of flavours here that makes the dessert course linger in memory.
Another visual and textural treat is the Fish Tank, a whimsical matcha financier layered with blue pea jelly and yuzu whipped ganache, so pretty you’ll hesitate before the first spoonful.

On weekdays, the tea is served on a classic three-tiered stand, accompanied by a choice of Crispy Lobster Popiah, Peranakan Stuffed Chicken Wing, Nyonya Laksa, or Babi Pongteh. Weekends turn into a buffet-style affair, complete with live stations and unlimited helpings, plus the theatrical Bananas Foster flambéed to order.
The Peranakan Afternoon Tea at Pacific Emporium is available at two seatings: 1pm – 3pm and 4pm – 6pm. On weekdays, it is priced from S$58 per person; on weekends, it is priced from S$68 per person. Pacific Emporium is located at 7 Raffles Boulevard, Pan Pacific Singapore, Singapore 039595.
