For anyone with a sweet tooth, desserts are an absolute must-have. Of course, it never hurts if the desserts make for the perfect Instagram shot. If you’re looking for the next place to try when out for a day of cafe-hopping, you might want to make space on your itinerary for Nesuto Patisserie, a Japanese-French style patisserie located at Tanjong Pagar.
Nesuto Patisserie is a quaint little cafe that serves a multitude of delicious treats. ‘
“Nesuto” means “Nest” in Japanese, which points to the cafe’s aim to be a comfortable, relaxing place that you would think of fondly and return to.
It is founded by Chef Alicia, who has an extensive baking resume under her belt, including five years in Capella Singapore’s pastry kitchen.
Located along Tras Street, this cafe welcomes you into its sweet, pastel pink interior. With its marble counters and delicate light fixtures, this cafe’s decor matches the beauty of the desserts it serves.
There is limited seating, so make sure you visit early if you want to score a good seat.
Nesuto Patisserie serves up a large array of desserts, from whole cakes to delicate entremets, and even offers alcohol to pair with the sweet treats.
Their signature cake is the Yuzu Raspberry (S$69+), a light, fluffy cake made from Japanese cotton sponge and has delicate layers of fresh raspberries and yuzu meringue mousse.
Despite its pink ganache exterior, this cake is not overwhelmingly sweet.
Other whole cake options you can look forward to include the Konichiwa Hojicha (S$69+) and the Decadent Dark Chocolate (S$67+) for chocolate-lovers.
Their cakes are also available in individual slices, as well as bundles of three slices, perfect for sharing with your friends. The slice cake bundles range from S$32.70 to S$34.30.
Aside from their exquisite whole cakes, their entremets are perhaps the next most eye-catching items on the menu. Their entremets are exclusively available for walk-ins, so be sure to head down to the shop if you wish to try some of these delights.
With a citrus bite, their Suzette Entremet contains Grand Marnier liqueur. Savour its Burnt Caramel and Opalys Mousse, Almond Streusel coated with Valrhona Dulcey Chocolate, and Almond Orange Sponge for a decadent gastronomical experience.
Other entremets include the Queen Ispahan, which has Rose, Lychee, and Raspberry components, the Poire, made with Pear Compote and Hazelnut Chocolate Sponge, and the Matcha Gateux, which has rich and delectable matcha flavours.
Beyond their cakes and entremets, Nesuto Patisserie offers cookie gift sets. Take home with you the Sachi Cookie Gift Set (S$35) and the Nesuto Streusel Nuggets (S$29.90) if you want to continue enjoying their bakes. The cafe offers a wide selection of wines as well, and even offers Wine Gift Wrapping (S$5) if you wish to gift a bottle to a friend.
