With National Day celebrations back in full-scale and as glorious as they used to be after three years, many of us are excited.

If you’re planning to celebrate the nation’s birthday in style this year, consider one of these restaurants we’ve listed. Begin the festivities with a four-hands dinner, curated by Chef John-Paul Fiechtner of Kaarla Restaurant and Bar and Chef Lamley Chua of Oumi.

Chef John will serve up creations that are made with the best of Australia’s seasonal bounty from land, river, and sea, cooked from farm-to-table. Chef Lamley will follow with Kappo dishes prepared with different carefully selected cooking techniques that allow fresh, natural flavours to shine, whilst utilising a ‘nose-to-tail’ culinary approach. The final collaborative course epitomises the symbiotic bond between both restaurants, fuelled by the sharing of experience, knowledge, and purveyor connections between both restaurants.

Artemis Grill & Sky Bar

Offering prime location views of the Marina Bay area, Artemis Grill & Sky Bar also has a limited edition three-course menu to celebrate the National Day festivities, available only on the 9th August for dinner,

Your meal will begin with a choice of delicious appetizers that include creamy Burrata served with pesto and peaches, Beef or Scallop & Hamachi Tartare and Fremantle Octopus.

Then, continue with main dishes: Black Cod served with clams and Champagne beurre blanc, Iberico Pork Chop with chorizo and eggplant puree, Chicken Breast with white bean skordalia or Corn Agnolotti with goat cheese and winter truffle as a vegetarian option. For vegans, consider the Spicy Lentil Fritter with red cabbage and tahini.

Perched at the top of Marina Bay Sands, CÉ LA VI certainly has one of the best views of the fireworks on National Day.

To celebrate the nation’s 57th birthday, CÉ LA VI is offering a special BBQ menu at its Club Lounge, including BBQ oysters with smoked ponzu granita and maimoa lamb chops with chimichurri.

The menu includes sharing style platter options with either a Classic BBQ Platter (S$155++) or a Surf & Turf BBQ Platter (S$180++).

On top of these, the Club Lounge will hold two live stations from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, serving beloved snacks such as popcorn and local favourite, muah chee, to add to the festivities.

Bring your children along too, and enjoy the face painting zone for children, while resident DJs KFC, Kenneth Francis, and Brendon P will be on deck spinning House Anthems at SkyBar. DJs Leonard T and Andrew Tang will be leading celebration through music as they spin Hip Hop and R&B tunes at the Club Lounge during the occasion.

LAVO Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar

Offering a practically front-row seats to the National Day fireworks, LAVO Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar pays homage to Singapore’s popular local fare with a selection of innovative locally inspired dishes.

Dig into homegrown favourites such as the Singapore chilli crab (S$58++) with golden fried mantou and relish LAVO’s elevated rendition of the lobster laksa (S$48++), featuring half a fresh Maine lobster, a golden fried egg and al dente spaghetti in a rich, spicy broth laced with coconut fragrance.

The microbrewery is offering an exclusive five-course National Day Set Dinner (S$228++ per person).

For the first time, Tablescape and Grand Park City Hall will be opening their rooftop for guests to enjoy the National Day fireworks when you opt for its National Day Fireworks Viewing Promotion.

Grand Park City Hall is one of the taller buildings in the area and its rooftop offers a wide and clear view of the Marina Bay.

You can reserve tables for 30 July (S$200++) and 9 August (S$250++) from 7pm and 11pm, with each table seating a maximum of four persons. Each evening will be limited to a total of 10 tables. Reservations, with S$100 deposit, are required.

On 30 July, guests who takes up the promotion will be given their choice of a bottle of G.H. Mumm champagne or a bottle of house-pour spirits, as well as Truffle Fries and Crispy Chicken Wings.

Michelin-starred restaurant CUT by Wolfgang Puck takes National Day celebrations up a notch with an exclusive three-course National Day lunch menu (SS$58++).

Paying homage to Singapore’s celebrated local dishes, the modern steak restaurant will be presenting a selection of local delights, including the moreish salted egg yolk soft shell crab, served with fluffy house made mantou and steamed rice, as well as the wok-kissed U.S.D.A. prime beef char kway teow.

Round up the meal with exquisite locally inspired desserts, such as the aromatic coconut chiffon durian cake, served with a quenelle of delicate gula melaka ice cream.

Taking inspiration from Singapore as a multicultural city, Permata Singapore’s Culinary Director Chef Mel Dean has curated a Lion City Platter to be shared amongst friends and family, in the spirit of celebrating Singapore’s 57th birthday.

The Lion City Platter features Malay, Chinese, Indian, Eurasian and Peranakan flavours that pair harmoniously with one another.

Representing Malay cuisine is the Fish Sambal made with Sambal Tumis, a chilli that requires hours of preparation and cooking when made from scratch. Following the concept of Ikan Bakar, fish is grilled with sambal, wrapped with turmeric leaves, topped with raw onions, calamansi, ulam raja salad with torched ginger dressing before service.

Another highlight is the Eurasian Green Chilli Prawn Sambal, a traditional dish that Eurasians serve on special occasions.

There are also the Kung Pao Chicken and Indian Grilled Lamb Masala served with Pineapple Chutney.

The Lion City Platter is served with Wok Fried Rice made with Shimeji mushrooms, eggs, Ulam Raja and a Peranakan Nyonya Achar.

As custodian of local heritage food, Chef Damian D’Silva certainly know how to put together a meal that is befitting of National Day.

This year, Chef Damian collaborates with a pair of local culinary talents to present a series of exciting “four-hand” experiences to celebrate Singapore’s birthday.

On 6 August, he will be working together with Chef Marvas Ng, Executive Chef of Path. The two Singaporean chefs will present a Chinese feast consisting of two dishes from Rempapa, two from Chef Marvas, and two collaborated dishes, in addition to two snack and two desserts. This feast is served in a communal style of a typical Chinese meal.

On 13 August, look forward to a collaboration with Vasunthara Ramasamy (Vasun), MasterChef Singapore Season 2 contestant and passionate home cook.

This will be a South Indian set lunch that features Thosai, a heritage food item that’s in danger of being lost. Served communal style, the menu consists of three thosai and three chutneys from Vasun and three side dishes from Rempapa, in addition to an assortment of kuehs for dessert.

Shabestan has introduced a National Day three-course set lunch, which is an upgrade from their existing Executive Set Lunch, with three new items added: a Mocktail, a Cocktail and a Singapore inspired dessert.

Quench your thirst with their new Fruit Paradise Mocktail made with Fruit Symphony Tea, Red Plum, Strawberries and Fresh Pomegranate; a staple ingredient in Persian cuisine.

Popular Persian Mezze (appetiser) to choose from include Shabestan’s Kash-E-Bademjan (eggplant), Borani Esfanaj (spinach) or a fresh citrus salad, Shabestan’s Shirazi Salad.
