With the opening of two new outlets at Hillion Mall and Northpoint City (coming soon!), Namu Bulgogi is bringing the heat – quite literally. Best known for its bold Korean flavours and theatrical oakwood smoke-grilling, the brand now unveils its latest obsession-worthy highlight: the Korean Oakwood-Fire Tongdak-Gui (Roasted Chicken).
A Fire-Show Worth Flocking To
At Namu Bulgogi’s new outlets, you’ll find the hypnotic rotisserie oven in the kitchen, roasting whole chickens over real oakwood fire. The result? Chicken that’s irresistibly juicy, infused with a deep smokiness, and finished with a golden, blistered skin that’s equal parts crispy and tender.

We tried the roasted chicken in Kimchi Cheong flavour – a signature pairing that matches the smoky roast with a tangy-savoury kimchi jam. It was a flavour bomb that had us hooked from the first bite.

We also loved the Rosé Cream version, which paired beautifully with the Garlic Pasta topping, a creamy, garlicky indulgence that mellowed out the smoky spice.
With 15 toppings to choose from, you can mix and match to your heart’s content. Our favourites? The Fried Tteok (crispy on the outside, chewy inside) and Gimmari (fried seaweed rolls stuffed with glass noodles that added crunch and richness).
Whether you opt for a half (S$16.90 for classic flavour or S$19.90 for premium flavour) or whole chicken (S$24.90 for classic flavour or S$27.90 for premium flavour), portions are generous. Small eaters, be warned: this is a meal best shared.

We also tried the 2-in-1 Oakwood Smoke-Grilled Chicken Chop (S$14.90), served with Corn Cheese and dipping sauces. One side came glazed in classic gochujang, the other in original marinade – perfect for indecisive diners. The oakwood grilling added a smoky depth that lingered deliciously.
More Than Just Chicken: Comfort With a Smoky Edge
While the chicken takes centre stage, the rest of the menu more than holds its own.

The Slow-Cooked Sliced Beef Kalguksu (S$18.90) was a standout. This bowl of hand-cut noodles in a soul-soothing broth, topped with tender, melt-in-your-mouth beef. Comforting, nourishing, and incredibly satisfying, especially on a rainy day.

The Haemul Pancake (S$14.90) came crisp-edged and generously packed with seafood, making it a great starter to share.
Drinks With a Twist (And a Photo Op)

It wouldn’t be a Korean meal without something fun to wash it down. The Bandung Hwachae (S$4.90) was an unexpected win. A local twist on the classic Korean fruit punch, it was sweet, floral, and refreshingly milky without being cloying.
For something more indulgent, go for the Milo Banana Milk (S$6.90). This playful concoction tastes like your childhood collided with a Korean convenience store. Decadent, nostalgic, and undeniably Instagram-worthy.
Namu Bulgogi is now opened at #B2-55/56 Hillion Mall and will be opening soon at #B1-181 Northpoint City. Visit its website for more information.
