The newly opened MENSHO X at Resorts World Sentosa marks a confident evolution for Chef Tomoharu Shono’s cult ramen concept.
MENSHO X retains the warmth and comfort that its Raffles City outlet offers but with a more casual and contemporary vibe, thanks to the airy, wood-accented space that’s smaller than its first outlet.

What To Order at MENSHO X
When you visit MENSHO X, definitely check out its mochimen.

Newly introduced, this is ramen crafted from a bespoke blend of mochi wheat. These thick strands, chilled briefly in an ice bath before serving, have an addictive, chewy “QQ” spring – a wonderfully bouncy texture and mouthfeel that makes them instantly memorable.
They form the foundation of MENSHO X’s exclusive tantan creations, and with that first bite, it’s clear why Chef Shono dedicated so much R&D to perfecting them.

We tried the Wagyu Tantan Mochimen (S$26). This dry ramen is topped with premium Japanese wagyu chashu, bok choy, a semi-dried tomato, smoked nuts, red onions, and a hint of Sichuan pepper, giving it an indulgent twist on the classic Japanese ramen experience.

For something broth-based, the newly introduced Yuzu Shio Ramen (S$23) offers a clean, nuanced alternative to the more indulgent bowls. Its double soup – made with bonito, clam, and pork layered with delicate chicken broth – is gentle yet expressive.
As a yuzu lover, I found myself wishing for a slightly punchier citrus note, but the bowl still delivers a refreshing, easy-to-enjoy profile that brightens the palate without overwhelming it.

The sides, too, carry the same sense of intention. The Crispy Ama Ebi (S$8) is especially delightful, featuring light, crackling shrimp paired with fresh, green sprouts that cut through the richness, making it the kind of dish that disappears from the table far too quickly.
It’s these small touches that give the meal rhythm and contrast, elevating what could have been simple bar snacks into satisfying accompaniments.

Finish the meal with its house-made Matcha Pudding (S$6.80), made with premium matcha and topped with red bean paste and fresh strawberries. This is surprisingly a highlight for us and ends the meal on a satisfying note.
MENSHO X at Resorts World Sentosa is located at WEAVE Mall, 26 Sentosa Gateway, #02-206, Singapore 098269. It is open from daily from 11am to 10pm.
