Halloween celebrations used to involve huge parties, which are not going to be available for a while. But this doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time.

Here are 10 restaurants, cafes, and bistros that are offering Halloween-themed food on their menus that will definitely make your celebrations extra fun.

1. Black Tap

Black Tap is known for their extravagant milkshakes and classic American burgers. For this Halloween, the restaurant launches the chocolate-based CrazyShake.

Staying true to the dramatic style of Black Tap’s famous towering milkshakes, this is topped with a chocolate “spider-web” cupcake, orange, and white twisty pops, orange rock candy, orange sprinkles, and is completed with generous chocolate sprinkle.

2. LAVO

Enjoy a haunting Halloween at LAVO Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar as it launches a Halloween-themed edition of their popular Sunday Champagne Brunch. You’ll get the chance to feast on special dishes such as a charcoal pizza topped with savoury pumpkin puree, whipped ricotta, toasted sunflower seeds, and candy corn, foie gras and beef short rib croquettes, and homemade squid ink fettucini with sea urchin butter, salmon belly, and crushed pistachio.

LAVO has also crafted some Halloween themed desserts for the occasion, including a mini “brain” raspberry jelly, pumpkin cupcakes, cinnamon cheesecake, and pumpkin pie verrine. These dishes will be served alongside the regular brunch staples such as the fresh seafood from the raw bar, free-flow champagne, Peroni beer, and cocktails such as Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and Singapore Slings.

LAVO Sunday Champagne Brunch – Halloween Edition is available on 31 October from 12pm to 3pm and is priced at S$188++ per person (free flow Veuve Clicquot champagne and buffet menu) and S$98++ per person (food and non-alcoholic beverages). 3. KOMA

KOMA Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar welcomes you to celebrate Halloween with its new autumn-inspired YasaiNo Hana (Wildflower) cocktail (S$23+++) and chocolate pumpkin (S$19++).

A floral and fruity concoction made with bonito-flake infused gin, the YasaiNo Hana cocktail is a delicious drink that also features Melati non-alcoholic liqueur, lychee tea infused syrup, lime juice, and Fever Tree cucumber tonic. And instead of making a Jack O’ Lantern, order its chocolate pumpkin, a creamy dessert assembled with vanilla bavaroise, pumpkin orange marmalade, and a cinnamon-nutmeg crunch.

4. Origin + Bloom

Origin + Bloom is presenting spookily delicious treats for you to enjoy this Halloween. Head down to the European-inspired patisserie to pick up their booooba tea (S$12), a cake that’s shaped like a bubble tea drink, or indulge in a classic salted chocolate ghost muffin (S$5).

Apart from these Instagram-worthy treats, three other delightful bakes are also available; choose from its herb-infused focaccia mask (S$5), sourdough (S$9) with a Halloween scoring, or their sweet pumpkin bun (S$4.50) with chestnuts.

Additionally, prepare yourselves for a spooky surprise waiting for you in-store from 25 October to 7 November as Origin + Bloom will unveil two Halloween themed brews from its biweekly coffee series (S$8 for small; S$8.50 for large).

5. CARNE

Beef burger – but with a Halloween twist? Yes, please.

CARNE celebrates Halloween with the Beef & Pumpkin Burger, complete with tender slices of roasted Kent pumpkins specially sourced from the Cameron Highlands that are seasoned with sea salt flakes and cooked a la plancha to give it a perfect sear and a smoky taste.

The delicious pumpkins are then stacked together with a generous and juicy hormone-free Australian beef patty, topped with red onions seared for sweetness, and oakleaf red lettuce, finished by sandwiching them between fluffy buns smeared with a caper-and-rosemary spread on the bottom bun and a house-made blue cheese peppercorn sauce on the top.

The natural sweetness of the pumpkin and umami flavours of the fall season are complemented and elevated perfectly by the aroma of the rosemary, the briny taste of capers, and the punch of blue cheese. A perfect Halloween savoury treat in one stunning burger.

These additions include a Monster Cake Pop with Caramel and Pumpkin that are delightfully designed with mummy wraps and Frankenstein-like stitching on the frosting around the surface of the cake pops. Join Peperoni Pizzeria as they “raise the dead” and bring back two of their “eerie-sistable” pizzas from the grave to satisfy your devilish cravings.

The Salmone Pizza is a frightfully delicious pizza slathered in blood-red tomato sauce and topped with salmon, capers, and caramelised onions. An absolute delight for both children and adults, the Salmone Pizza is available in three sizes (M, S$19; L, S$24; XXL S$55).

If you prefer a white-based pizza, take a crack at the Bacon Miele Pizza, which is topped with bacon, honey, and fresh oregano. Every mouthful is packed full of sweet and savoury flavours for a harmonious combination of contrasting elements. The Bacon Miele Pizza is available in two different sizes (M, S$24.61; L. S$32.10).

Peperoni Pizzeria the Salmone Pizza is available at all outlets from 16 October to 7 November 2021 for dine-in and takeaway, and will be available exclusively on Deliveroo from 16 October to 19 October 2021 before other delivery platforms. 9. Lime Restaurant

The fifth instalment of the much-anticipated Lime Restaurant’s Halloween Buffet is here once more to satisfy your devilish cravings. There will be bewitching starters with Trick n’Treating vibes from their Jack-O-Lantern Salad, as well as a creepy walk through the grounds with their Graveyard Cheese Platter. Prepare to be spooked with Freddy Brain’s Foie Grass with ‘Bloody’ Raspberry Sauce and ‘Eyeball’ Salad with Roasted Tomato and Sweet Pepper Gazpacho.

For diners who are looking to satisfy their bloodlust with some prime cuts, enjoy the Roadkill Roasted Baby Lamb, Red Wine Vinegar Glazed Pork Rib, Beef Sirloin, and Gourmet Sausages. Experience the Ghost Ship Seafood Bar for some hauntingly delicious crustaceans such as Snow Crab, Golden Clam, Whelk, and Prawn.

If you’d prefer some spicy frights, try some of Lime Restaurant’s all-time Asian favourites such as Sze Chuan Hot and Sour Soup, Signature Pickering Laksa, Oven-baked Scallop with Mala sauce and Cheese, and ‘Bloody’ Roti Jala with Curry Chicken. 10. PAZZION Café

Prepare yourselves for a frightful treat as PAZZION serves up an Eye Scream French Toast (S$18) and Vampira’s Bloody Mocktail (S$7).

The Eye Scream French Toast puts a spooky spin on the sweet dessert, and has fluffy charcoal bread that is covered in egg wash, before being topped with a medley of flowers, figs, rich dark chocolate, bleeding berry compote, and served with decadent ice cream.

Wash your meal down with the Vampira’s Bloody Mocktail to quench your blood-thirst. A delivish red sparkling mocktail, the beverage features the sweet earthy taste of beets and is wonderfully balanced by the zingy warmth of some ginger. For a frightening finish, the drink comes with floating “eyeballs” in it, which are actually just blueberry stuffed longans.
