Nestled in the heart of Hilton Singapore’s Orchard, the Ginger.Lily lobby bar and lounge is proud to unveil its latest culinary masterpiece: “Artistry in Bloom,” an exquisite collection of nature-inspired cakes meticulously crafted by Executive Pastry Chef Cindy Khoo. These delectable creations seamlessly blend the finesse of French culinary techniques with the artistry of Japanese premium ingredients, mirroring the botanical wonder that surrounds Ginger.Lily.
Chef Cindy’s artistry is a reflection of her deep appreciation for Japanese pastries and her strong foundation in classical French baking, all enriched by her extensive exploration of tea houses, renowned confectionaries, and immersive experiences in Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo. Her culinary journey through Japan’s rich gastronomic landscape, including visits to famous pâtisseries like RAU Kyoto, masterclasses with wagashi experts, and inspirational explorations at teamLab and Tokyo Metropolitan Gardens, is intricately woven into each of these exquisite creations.

This poetic symphony of flavours and textures reaches its crescendo in “The Sunflower” (whole S$75, small S$12). A masterpiece that marries Bergamot Tea-infused Pain de Gênes with a rich Alphonso Mango Compote and Mango Mousse, this cake evokes the sensation of a sun-kissed garden in full bloom. This is also one of AVENUE ONE‘s favourites, as its nuanced taste delight our palate as much as our eyes.
Equally captivating is the vibrantly purple “Manuka Beni Haruka” (whole S$75, small S$12), where the velvety embrace of Japanese Sweet Potato Mousse harmonises with Mandarin Orange Spiced Compote, Manuka Honey, and Hazelnut Joconde Sponge. With pretty twirls that give the cake a marbled look, this is certainly the first cake that will catch your eye.
Prepare to be enchanted by the beguiling “Strawberry Mochi Shortcake” (whole S$70, small S$12), delicately layered with Fresh Strawberries Compote, Mochi, and Chantilly Cream. This has snagged the top spot in the flavour department for the AVENUE ONE team.

Can’t resist chocolate? The “Ginger.Lily Cacao Garden” (whole S$70, small S$12) will be right up your alley. The indulgent cake features a house-made Botanique en Fleurs 68% chocolate blend, infused with red fruits and floral essences, and is paired with a Chocolate Génoise Sponge and decadent Chocolate Ganache.
Avant-garde elegance takes its form in “Ginger.Lily Reimagined” (whole S$80, small S$12). This innovative creation combines house-made Ginger.Lily Marmalade, zesty Sudachi Mousse, and Whipped Ganache within a delicate White Tea Roll, offering a captivating fusion of flavors and textures, representing a unique reinterpretation of the brand’s signature creation.

Alternatively, indulge in an extraordinary assortment of Chocolate Bonbons (S$36 for a box of nine pieces) featuring delightful flavours such as Soursop Feuilletine, Caramelized Hazelnut, Raspberry Licorice, Yuzu Jasmine, and Ginger.Lily Chocolate.

For those who cherish tea time delights, there is the Matcha Tea Roll, crafted with premium Japanese Matcha Sponge and velvety Mousseline Cream, or the Gula Melaka Candied Ginger Roll (S$48 each), brimming with luscious Gula Melaka Mousseline Cream and succulent candied ginger. These rolls entice guests to elevate their tea time experience and serve as splendid gifts for local indulgence or sharing the joy with loved ones afar, promising to maintain their soft and fluffy perfection wherever your cravings take you.
