You may remember the buzz in Singapore when Eggslut opened its first Southeast Asian outlet here.
The egg-focused restaurant is now celebrating its first anniversary in Singapore and is doing so with the launch of two menu items, available for a limited time only.
This is the first time Eggslut is having a limited-time offering.
The first item is the Avocado & Prawn Sandwich. The highlight of this is definitely the grilled tiger prawns. They are cooked in a garlic chili lime glaze, and paired with an over-medium egg, slices of avocado, cheddar cheese, and sweet chili mayo, sandwiched in a classic Eggslut brioche bun.
I really love how generous the portions were for the tiger prawns; they really stood out in this sandwich. The sauces give a pleasant kick to it, making it super appetising.
Of course, the egg was the cherry on top for this item, which was enjoyable even when the high standard of its eggs is expected from Eggslut.
Those who enjoy its signature Slut is going to find the Panna Cotta Slut a playful addition to the menu.
For the uninitiated, the Slut is a signature at Eggslut that features smooth house-made potato puree served in a glass jar that’s topped off with a coddled egg.
The Panna Cotta Slut may look exactly like the original Slut, but it’s a dessert through and through.
The “potato puree” portion is made with vanilla and hazelnut panna cotta, while the “coddled egg” is actually a mango passionfruit sphere.
For the best way to enjoy this dish, pierce through the sphere, like how you would eat the egg in the Slut, and mix it with spoonfuls of creamy panna cotta.
The Panna Cotta Slut was delightful, not only because of how fun it was, but the balance in sweet and citrusy flavours make this a delicious dessert to indulge in too.
The Avocado & Prawn Sandwich, as well as the Panna Cotta Slut will be available from now till 31 October 2022.
