Deciding where to dine can sometimes feel overwhelming, but Coucou Hotpot has turned that dilemma into an exciting new journey with their “Journey to Coucou” menu.

Inspired by the classic Chinese epic Journey to the West, this storytelling menu transforms your hotpot experience into an adventure, available from Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm, at all three Coucou outlets.

The Journey to Coucou menu features three distinct hotpot sets, each paying homage to iconic characters from the legendary tale.

Whether it’s the indulgent “Pigsy’s Banquet Set” (S$99++) with prime cuts of pork, the robust “The Niú Feast Set” (S$109++) brimming with USDA Choice Beef, or the seafood-laden “The Dragon’s Bounty Set” (S$119++), the sets cater to diverse tastes.

While the seafood set dazzles with lobster, abalone, and scallops, the beef quality is too good to pass up. My recommendation? Opt for the beef-focused “The Niú Feast” and supplement it with a few a la carte seafood and pork dishes for the best balance.

With this campaign, guests who chose any of the three Journey to Coucou sets can enjoy a 12% discount on a selection of premium dishes. I highly recommend getting the Japanese scallops (S$25 before discount), Berkshire Pork Collar (S$27 before discount), and Japanese A4 Wagyu Ribeye (S$98 before discount).

One thing that sets Coucou Hotpot apart is the condiments bar, available at a separate charge of S$3.90 per person, where you can create your own sauces, and enjoy a variety of side dishes, fresh fruits, and savoury snacks.
The Lu Rou Fan — Taiwanese-style braised pork rice —is a must-try and pairs perfectly with the hotpot. It’s hearty, flavourful, and not to be missed.

Plus, don’t forget to wash it all down with their delicious bubble tea, which adds a refreshing and indulgent touch to the meal.
I typically shy away from hotpot because the soup bases at many places are overly salty, and I dislike leaving with smelly hair. However, my experience at Coucou was different.

The broths were well-balanced and not overly salty, and I was pleasantly surprised to walk away without the usual lingering hotpot aroma. I tried the Coconut Chicken Soup and Mala Soup, and both were very enjoyable.

The ambience at Coucou is equally impressive, offering intimate dining spaces where you can comfortably converse with your companions, making it an ideal spot for catching up over a warm, satisfying meal.

As a final touch of fun, Coucou has introduced an interactive TikTok filter that lets you turn yourself into Sun Wukong, the leading character from Journey to the West. Snap a screenshot, show it to the staff, and you’ll receive a S$50 dining voucher for your next visit!
Coucou Hotpot is located at #03-332/337 Suntec City Mall, #02-208/209 Jewel Changi Airport, and #04-05/06 i12Katong Mall.
