Coastes Review: What to Order From the New Menu

For early risers and brunch enthusiasts, Coastes offers a tempting array of breakfast dishes from 9am to 3pm.

The Power Breakfast Bowl (S$16) boasts a nutritious blend of fresh fruits, Greek yogurt, and toasted oats, perfect for a light and healthy start.

Craving something more substantial? The Spam & Egg Sandwich (S$16) is a winner, featuring crispy spam, juicy pineapple, and a runny egg nestled in a toasted brioche bun.

AVENUE ONE‘s favourite is the Mushroom Truffle & Poached Egg Muffin (S$16), a decadent brunch option that’s sure to satisfy. This is essentially Eggs Florentine draped lavishly with forest mushroom and black truffle cream sauce to add a touch of indulgence to it.

Come lunchtime (11am onwards), Coastes transforms into a haven for hearty appetites.

The expanded menu boasts an impressive selection of pastas, risottos, burgers, pizzas, and more.

Pastafarians will rejoice in new additions like Truffle Sausage and Spinach Fettuccine (S$24) and Pork Meatball Spaghetti (S$24), while seafood lovers can dive into enticing options like Tiger Prawn & Bacon Risotto (S$26).

Chilli Crab Risotto (S$26)

We highly recommend the Chilli Crab Risotto (S$26), a unique twist on Singapore’s iconic dish. This comes with succulent chunks of real blue crab, cooked in a sweet and spicy broth that is a nod to the classic dish. Crunchy egg floss top off this satisfying dish, which adds great texture to it.

Sharing is encouraged at Coastes! The refreshed menu features a vibrant selection of appetisers and beach bites perfect for group gatherings.

We enjoyed the Coastes Tropical Salad (S$16), a colourful medley of fresh greens with charred corn, semi-dried tomatoes, roasted pumpkin seeds, and purple cabbage, dressed in homemade chunky green mango compote.

This salad isn’t just good for the ‘gram and is also a refreshing treat that cuts through the hearty flavours of the mains.

We also liked the Baby Scallops with Bacon Bits (S$20), which are torched baby scallops that are accompanied by a sprinkle of smoky bacon, delicately dotted with pea puree and enhanced with a hint of white balsamic vinegar to lift the taste so it’s more invigorating.

Save room for dessert! Coastes tempts with new sweet creations like the decadent Strawberry Lava Cheesecake (S$18), featuring a surprise molten strawberry centre, or the Vanilla & Blackcurrant Panna Cotta (S$16) with a touch of basil caviar.
