We found an artisanal dim sum high tea for just S$12.90 per pax at an Orchard cafe

Singapore is known to be a food paradise as it is home to many types of food. And one of the good ol’ favourites is dim sum.

But today, we’re not talking about just any kind of dim sum. We’re talking about artisanal dim sum offered by MASA by Black Society. Black Society is known for its modern contemporary Cantonese cuisine, and its subsidiary, MASA by Black Society, offers an innovative twist to the cuisine, ensuring an exquisite experience that is not just able to satisfy our tastebuds, but also our eyes.

While the name of the cafe is often associated with underworld triads, the setting of the cafe exudes luxe and cosiness with its black bird cage seating areas and hanging vines.

They are currently having a promotion that offers an affordable and Instagram-worthy dim sum high tea set for two.

Dim Sum High Tea Set

The set is priced at an affordable S$25.80++ for two pax, making it about S$12.90++ per person, If you’re feeling a little fancy, you can even opt to top up S$30 for a 200ml bottle of Moet Mini to share with your loved one.

The set comes with eight items, and Instead of them being served in the usual traditional bamboo steamers, the dim sum is placed carefully on three tiers of an aesthetic golden birdcage, reminiscent of the black birdcage you will be sitting in for your meal.

On the highest tier, you’ll see the Pigeon Siu Mai, Mango Prawn Salad Roll, and two Glutinous Rice Balls. The Pigeon Siu Mai is an interesting take to the traditional Siu Mai that we are used to seeing, with a cute little drawn pigeon staring right at us.

On the next tier, you’ll have Ice Cream, two Rosie Red Bean Baozi, and two Baked Egg Tarts. The Baozi is strategically moulded to look just like a pink rose. The colour may even remind some people of a Longevity Bao.

And on the lowest tier, you’ll have the Sweet Sour Dumpling and the Four Season Spring Roll.

After you’re done with the meal, don’t be shy to snap some pics of yourself in their beautifully decorated forest-themed cafe.
